A typical HE3 Kenmore Elite washer the F09 code indicates and overflow has been sensed. This can be because of suds or a failure of the pump or pressure switch.

Suds is a common problem with the newer 2X-3X super concentrated detergents.

A pump that is partially blocked might cause this error

If the suds error starts happening suddenly even though you used the same HE detergent and amount that you always have in the past, you probably don't have a excessive sudsing problem, caused by the soap. The most common problem relates to the pump. Some foreign item blocking the inlet of the pump. Foreign objects can make their way down to the pump and either clog the entrance or enter and damage the pump impeller.

Gives code f02 and sud

Hello,

The F2 error codes means LONG DRAIN TIME and the suds code the washer detected water in tub after normal alloted drain time...so basically the F2&SUDS means the same thing. A lot of times when it does not drain fast enough,its caused by a blocked filter on the pump being biult up with debris. This tip i wrote will show ya how to clean the pump filter.

On a Kenmore Elite Model #11047781700 we keep receiving the error code SUD and F35. We are trying locate the drain pump filter. Could you please tell me where this item is located.

2 possible solutions:
1. Make sure small black hose connected to pressure switch is clear of obstructions by blowing through it
2. Replace pressure switch located at back top right of machine under top hood.
3. Make sure drain catch located at thebottom front behind the panel held in place by 3 screws is not blocked. It is the large white knob which can be removed by turning it counter clockwise and removing the tray to check for any items blocking it. Make sure you have towels in place to absorb any water when you remove drain catch

Washer machine will not drain

Check for clogging in your drain hose, block inthe ddrain valve/ drain pump and foremost the voltage to the drain pump must be present when the machine program is reached.
If not the controller can be defective.

If suds put epsom salts in dispenser on rinse cycle,
this kills the suds instantly.most likely to be pump though.

Hi, here is the meaning of the SUD error code and the corrective actions. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike

"Sud" SUDS LOCK (Overdose of Detergent detected during the Wash Cycle)
The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the current draw on the drive motor. If "Sud" is displayed a potential suds lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

If too much detergent was used, run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle, then a Normal cycle, without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
Check Drain Pump
Check Pressure Switch
Check CCU

My washer will not drain or spin. It showa a "sud" error.

hello check the drain hoses make sure its not block check the pump
electrical wires make sure the pumps running check the drain pump filter if these do not work change the pump good luck

Aquasmart too many suds

means that the pump might be blocked and not drains too well
Please check this link for all drawings and or perts you might need. Please clean pump out first

Hi

To access the drain pump, remove the front of the machine. Remove the kick panel at the front bottom of the machine. The 2 screws need just 1 turn to loosen, use a flat head screwdriver. There are a couple of hidden clips on the Kick panel that secure it to the machine. These are located at the top edges of the Kick panel, and can be pressed on (by sliding a wide, flat knife between the top of the Kick panel) to release the Kick panel from the front of the machine. Now you’ll be able to see the screw cap for the drain pump, it is located on the left hand side. Before removing this cap make sure that you have a container and lots of towels to clean the water as there is a risk of flooding the floor with water. Clean the pump and your issue will be resolved now. please post back for more information. Hope this helps...
