EOC-3220ext Loosing its wired connection with lan

I have 4 EOC-3220ext with firmware 1.41.05. One or the units is wired to a router with internet access and is configured in AP mode and WDS is enabled with the other 3 units Mac address The other 3 units are set the same as the first same channel 9 and SSID NET and in each of the other 3 WDS has the first units Mac address. ip addresses, internet router 192.168.168.254. first wired EOC-3220ext 192.168.168.250 and the other 3 EOC-3220ext 251 to 253 This setup is working 6 weeks. this week the wired unit keeps dropping its connection with the router. I have changed the units around replaced power supply and re-wired but still the same problem I have a wired or wireless connection with EOC-3220 192.168.168.251. I can log into Eoc-3220 192.168.168.250 but nothing else I can go to EOC 3220 192.168.168.252 log into it and log into EOC 3220 192.168.168.250 and nothing else If there was a fault with my internet router or cat5 cable to the the first EOC3220 I should be able to log into one of the EOC's and see all the others Also if I connect to the router I can log into all the eoc's The only fix is to power down the router and EOC wired to it for 1 hour power up again and everything is fine again for a few hours

    Hi Chales

I set up a d-link 2100 usind WDS it worked ok

Found a solution for the 3220's

Got myself 3 new Tranzeo 6000 ap's got them up and running in a few hours, the signal is much better no droping out. I could see even after a few hours that i didnt keep getting that little popup "Internet Disconected" at the bottom of my screen. There is no need for a router as one of the units can be set as a router and connest them together wint WDS .

Some lovely flashing lights to tell you they are working.

Got myself some small wheels and made a cool looking set of skates out of the 3220's for the kids.....haha

Keep losing internet connection

Hi Dave,

I got your issue , You have mentioned that you are losing the internet connection through the router .

To fix this issue You need to update the firmware on the router . I have given you the link to download the firmware from the website

http://en-us-support.belkin.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/527/kw/8231/r_id/166

1.You have not mentioned the version number of the router , so please check the version number (in the bottom of the router)

For example: If its version 4000, then you have to download 4xxx firmware which is in the link.

2.After downloading the firmware from the website, save this file in a location where you can easily identify(eg: desktop)

3.connect the comp to the router with the ethernet cable to the router in any one of the wired slot and open the browser(eg: Internet explorer) and in the address bar type 192.168.2.1 and enter.
you will be logged into the router setup page.

4.Look on the left side of the page under Utilities , click on firmware update

5. then if its asking for login password, leave the password as blank and click on submit.

6. then click on browse and choose the file from the location where you save and then click update.

Once after firmware update you will not have any problem in loosing connection. please try this I'm sure it will work.

Thanks & Regards,
Prema

Whenever i am using wireless, my internet will shot down. How can i fix this problem? thanks.

With the wired connection is it working fine ?
If yes and if you have only problem with the wireless connection then try to upgrade the firmware of the router.
Firmware is the software of the router.
Download the latest firmware of the router. Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the firmware of the router.
Open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware of the router, reset the router.
On the router you will find a small reset button, hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. Now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in.
Now you will need to reconfigure the router according to the Internet service provider.

How to configure 4 Lan + 1 Printer +internet connections

Hello,

If all your connections are wired, you can use one of the three following solutions.

1. Purchase a router with more then 4 LAN ports on it.
2. If the printer or any of the computers have a wireless network card, then purchase a wireless router and simply connect 4 LAN cables and 1 WLAN.
3. Purchase a hub. Connect 3 computers to the first 3 LAN ports on the router; connect the hub to the fourth LAN port and then connect the last computer and the printer to the hub. In essence both your computer and the printer will share the same IP address (the IP given to the hub) and they should work.

In any of these situations, connect the internet connection to the WAN port of your router.

Thanks,

Pat

How to setup internet between 2 EnGenius EOC-2610 devices?

Thanks for a very thorough problem report. It's a little ambiguous near the end, though, so I will have to restate what I think I understand you are saying.
You are saying that you have your internet connection and AP in one building, and two devices or PCs in that building can access the internet and share files (though you don't specify if they are using the EOC-2610 access point or are just accessing the router in some other fashion). But you have a remote building where there is one PC and one EOC-2610 in Client Bridge mode, and although both EOC-2610 units seem to be communicating with each other, the PC will not communicate with anything. (I presume you have inspected the access point's configuration screens and verified that it does have the other EOC-2610 listed as a connected client.)
First, the PC in the remote building has to be connected to the Client Bridge EOC-2610 by its ethernet cable in order to access the network. Second, the PC in the remote building has to have a valid IP address in the range 192.168.0.0/24, or it won't communicate with anything. If you are relying on your router's DHCP to assign your PC an IP address, verify that this has happened by examining your PC network properties. If you are assigning all IP addresses manually, make sure you have assigned the PC an address, and one that doesn't duplicate some other device.
Sometimes failure to specify DNS servers appears to be a lack of communication with the network. Open a browser and type 66.70.119.204 in the URL bar. If you get to fixya.com, you have a good network connection. If you type fixya.com in the URL bar and can't get the same result, you need to define DNS servers on the PC (or inside your router).

Problem using Wa1003A and Tew 432 brp to share my internet

lan wires are the same. lan wires used to connect your computer to your modem can also be used to connect your Wa1003A adsl router and TEW 432 brp.

you just got some things mixed up.

1. you should set your Wa1003A adsl router to bridge mode. At this point, it will just be "pass through" device and will not be the one who will ask for IP adds from your ISP.

2. configure your TEW 432 brp with your pppoe username and password. Your TEW 432 brp will now ask the network for the IP address to that it can connect to your ISP.

3. leave your lan wires the same.

Centrios internet radio gives dhcp timeout

This is likely because out of the box, the firmware for this unit doesn't support WPA2 and even certain variants of WPA. I recommend: configure router for WEP or even open (i.e. unencrypted) connection, connect unit, go to setup/update firmware and let it update from network, power cycle, reconfigure your router for WPA or WPA2 security, attempt to reconnect unit to wifi. The updated firmware supports more formats and may allow your new router's config to work. You can also try doing the firmware update over the wired LAN port. Hope this helps.
