Firstly insert the battery. When you plug the PSU into the machine does a charging light turn on? If not then check the fuse in the mains plug as it may have blown. If the fuse is OK then you may have a defective PSU, although the motherboard could also be defective. Try a new PSU to determine if which component is faulty. <br /> Now remove the battery and insert the PSU. Will the machine turn on or do any power lights illuminate? If power lights illuminate and the machine will not turn on then I would suggest the motherboard is at fault. If the machine turns on briefly the turns off before displaying the splash screen then I would suggest the RAM, CPU or motherboard is at fault.<br /> If the unit works without the battery installed then it is probably a battery problem, although it is possible the charging circuit on the motherboard is fried.<br /> Hope this helps,<br /> www.PuterCare.com<br />
