My fridge has become very noisy? Could you advise?

The initial cause is often a failure to properly level the cabinet and ensure it stands firmly on a level floor. Eventually an unlevelled compressor can become worn and prematurely noisy, wear the rubber mountings and cause pipework to become detached from clips and brackets so the usual shake or shudder as it stops becomes magnified and causes the pipework to rattle and/or the rubber mountings to be ineffective.

fan is eating ice. coz defrosting problem.

The condenser core is dirty is my bet and the pump is worn out.

I have a Samsung srs618dp side by side fridge. I have just turned it on after 5 months and it seems to be working however every 30 seconds it keeps beeping, very annoying. There is no ice build up.

does it always make that hum noise or just when adjusting temp

It sound rather like one I used to have (but worse) which was never 100% satisfactory. When it eventually failed we called in a repair man who said it had been faulty since it left the factory.

I advise you to scrap it and but a new one. If you have any similar problems with new equipment, go back to the supplier within the warranty (if you have an extended warranty, then call them out now!).

the only fix for a noisy fan is to replace it.
