Sounds like a power pack issue. Might be the switch mode transistor not working correctly. Either try repairing it or take it to a local tv repair centre

Try turnning your tv off, unplug unit from outlet, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds, let go of power button, if plugged into surge protector try wall outlet, if plugged into wall outlet try a different outlet, power tv on using power button on tv. Did you have a storm in you're area?

You may have to find a direct replacement for the remote, no real solution.... Let me know the brand....
