Having a problem installing it

Downloaded programs can be installed onto the Dell Axim X30 using Microsoft ActiveSync. Microsoft ActiveSync can be installed onto your computer using the Dell Companion CD which came with your Axim X30.
Once Microsoft ActiveSync is set up on your computer, if the program you downloaded came in an installer file, then double-clicking on the file will start the installation wizard and the software will be automatically transferred to the Axim.
If the program you downloaded did not come as an installer file, then double-clicking it will bring up an error message. In that case, use ActiveSync Explore to copy the program file to the Program Files folder on your Axim.

The are no drivers all you need is the activesync program from Microsoft. Activesync is the program that comes with all windows mobile devices for transferring data between your PC and mobile device.

I installed outlook 2003 instead of outlook 2000 that came with the pocket pc

Outlook 2000 is not compatible with windows vista

nope ....the outlook 2007 doesnt support all the connecting devices

If you allow the Windows Mobile Device Center to install through the automatic updates, it works for the most part. I've gotten it to actually sync both from the pc to the pda and vice versa. However, it is a little finicky; it takes about 4 attempts before the sync is happy.

As far as I know there is possibility to use Compact flash but no SD. I also know that you can find a lot of solutions that use USB or Bluetooth connection for GPS.
