If you are unable to open it ,there might be a virus in you flash drive which is causing problem .
Solution:
Select the flash drive and right click .now select autoplay, a dialogue box will appear ,now select open to open it..
if you are unable to do this .
open my computer ,in the address bar ,click on the downn area button in address bar and select flash drive to open .if this also fails you have to format the flash drive ..
Try this in other pc if you are unable to do this on your computer ..now if you are getting same problem ,format it.
right click on it >select format >and format it to remove virus ...

My pen drive is not detected.

The best thing to do is to try it in a friends computer, remember to scan it with an anti-virus program if it is detected. Otherwise it is possible that the USB flash drive has malfunctioned or needs to be reformatted. Hand it over to a PC technician maybe he/she can recover the information on it. Might be time to purchase a new one as they do wear out.

Need driver

Hi. Acually sir your usb flash drive is a plug and play device. Just plug it in on your computer and it should automatically be detected by your computer if you're using Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. If you're pertaining to the Windows 98 driver you can download the driver on this link http://www.kingston.com/support/USBFLASHDRIVES/downloads/default.asp?s=DTI_HS , just click the DTI.EXE then it will let you download the driver for your usb. Goodluck!

My 32GB KINGSTON FLASH DRIVE IS DEAD BARELY AFTER

I had such an issue with my 16GB Kingston it just died after 2 month. But usually it comes with at least 5 year warranty. So I returned mine and got new one instead. My luck that I had my files backed up. Try to change your kingston if it's completely undiscovered by your PC. But try it on another PC or Mac first. Good luck!

USB-Flash Drive Problem?

In The BIOS setting , there is a setting for making the USB drive High-speed or full-speed. Try to change it and the check, also enable external/removable drive option in the chiset setting. Finally if nothing help, try defaul settings and plug in yourUSB drive while connected to the net. If it responds th same way then try full format of the Flash drive, remove the hardware on on plugging it back open "add new hardware" and let it load automatically, even via the net for the optimum driver. Also visit their web site and do the troubleshooting steps if all the above fail...sodeep

Move data from one computer to another with kingston 8gb data tra

When you plug in the Flash Drive to your old computer, it will show up in My Computer probably as Removable disk or "Kingston Data Travler". You want to open that link up and drag whatever files you need into that folder. After doing so you put the flash drive in your new computer and repeat the process except you drag the files out of the folder and onto your desktop or a folder of your liking.

W98SE Driver for Kingston 1.0Gb DataTraveller Flash Drive

The people at your local computer shop are wrong but, Windows 98 should at least recognize the USB thumb-drive and ask for drivers.
I would remove all the USB Controllers from within Device Manager and restart; allow Windows upon restart to reload the USB Controllers; then plug in the drive and see if Windows at least recognizes and then install drivers.
It seems only the DTI/XX, KUSBDTE/XX, and DTII/XX support Windows 98.
