The controller and the car must be matched. Sounds like both are matched using the same frequency. Look at the instructions for changing the controller and car to a different frequency Then change one car and controller. try here

I have purchased 2 remote controlled toy cars from Costco over the years. These New Bright batteris and charges last only a few charges, and then they go bad. I am disappointed. I will go to Walmart and buy a new battery and see if it works better, if not, i will return to Walmart.
