Question about Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (WM3945AGMW1WB)

1 Answer

Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

I downloaded the new driver that came out and installed it, but the device still won't start. I don't really have another laptop to install it on, unfortunantly, or even the know how to do it. I don't think it's just signal though, because the device won't even start, it's not taking any power or anything.

Well, currently I have the IT department at my school checking it out for me. If they come up with some more clues or anything like that, I'll let you know, but for now, thanks for your help.

It was working fine, then i switched some power options and it stopped. I've reset all my power options, even tried a system restore, and new drivers, and it didn't work. My computer can tell it's there, but it just tells me there is a problem. (code 10, this device can't start).

is there any other slots on the same laptop that you are using? or another wireless card?

As of now, you have to further isolate whether the problem is on the slot of your laptop or on the card itself. Since another laptop is out of the question, you can use another wireless card to test. :)

Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection code 10

Code 10 usually means the device driver is not compatible, outdated or corrupt.

Try uninstalling the wireless device again and then reinstall using the latest driver available from:*+Home+Premium%2C+32-bit+version&lang=eng&strOSs=153&submit=Go!

NB If you're running XP, use the second one.

Hope this helps

Code 10, intel pro/wireless

You can try updating the drivers for that wireless adapter. If the same happens, you can try to uninstall it completely then reinstall it with the updated drivers.

You can also try to install it on a different slot or a different laptop to test the connection.

If you have other problems, go ahead and press the ask button and i'll answer it for you.
