Question about DISH Network IR Remote Control

Need to reprogram two dish remotes but cannot find the dish manual with the remote codes in them.

I would need to get a better idea of what model remote you have. I would recommend viewing our remote codes found here: http://www.dishnetwork.com/downloads/pdf/user_guides_and_manuals/Remote_Codes_Web_Page.pdf

You can find the model # on the back of the remote at the top, and the codes on the above link.

To program remote to TV:
1. Hold the gray TV button until all lights on top of the remote turn on.
2. Let go and while TV is blinking enter the 3-digit code and press #.
3. Try to use TV functions like volume/power/mute.
4. If it works press SAT and you're good, if not repeat steps 1-3 with another code on the list.

look at the top of the remote. There may be a button to tell the remote to control the Dish box. Those remotes can switch modes if you bump a button.

I'm sorry you are having problems reprogramming your TV 2 remote to your LG TV. Have you replaced your batteries? If so, I have provided a link on how to reprogram the remote and how to perform a power scan. I will also give you several codes that should work with the LG TV. This is the link with the instructions for programming the remote to your TV. It begins with step 6.

Hello, my name is Becki Barned, with Dish Network customer service. To get your tv to work those particular functions, you will need to reprogram the remote to the tv, finding a code that works all functions of the tv. Some codes will work the power and volume, but not the other functions. Try these steps:

1. Hold down the TV mode button until all lights at the top of the remote are lit up
2. Press the 3 digit code in
3. Press the pound button
4. Press the SAT button on the top left of the remote.

Hello! My name is Becki Barned, and I am with Dish Network Customer Service. It sounds like you just want to reprogram your remote, which is easy! There is no code to reprogram the remote. What you will need to do is pull the Smart Card out of the receiver( bottom left behind door) and that brings you to system info. Here, just hold down the SAT button on your remote, until all of the mode lights light up on the top of the remote, then release. Then press any number between 2 and 15 on the numeric keypad, press pound (#) then the record button (above the 3) and that will reprogram the remote. In order to program my "dish network" remote control , I need the remote control code for "Haier" model HL 15 B-A.
The reprograming of my dish network remote to my Haier tv was accomplished by the following steps: 1. Press the clear tv button and hold down until all 4 buttons are lit. Release the button. 2. Press and release the large red power button. 3. Press the UP arrow button about once a second until the tv turns off. 4. As soon as the tv turns off, press the pound (#) button at the bottom of the remote.

The unit will now be reprogramed.
