Jensen overhead dvd - No Sound. I recently purchased a 2007 volvo xc90. It came with an aftermarket jensen overhead dvd. When it went out, I replaced it with the same model (purchased on ebay). I removed the old one and connected the new one, but now there is no sound. I never did get the old one to work so I have no baseline for the new one. The connection wiring is simple, one two prong male-female plug and one three prong male-female plug. DVD player is set to 88.5 FM but I just get static from that channel. Funny thing is when I mute the DVD player the static goes away. Not sure what that means. Can anyone help?

Check to make sure your vehicle does not have a factory amplifier. If you used a fit kit with wiring harness. try looking at how many wires were used in the factory unit compared to haw many you are using now. see if there are extra wires in the vehicle. If there is extra wires it is a pretty good clue the vehicle has an amplifier and will have to be rewired.

you can buy a cord that hooks into your head set jack and the other end is A/V cables and you can hook it up to one of ur video inputs, this way you could also watch your videos on there also, the cord runs for around 15 dollars and you can buy it at gamestop or radio shack

Should wire HU's Power Const to Amp's Remote On. Instead you wired HU's Power Antenna to Amp's Remote On. So the stock amp got triggered only in radio mode.

SOURCE: Jensen vm9512hd e-brake bypass

the pink wire on the unit is for the E-brake.... ground it out somewhere and that will bypass the brake and fix the problem.

I purchased a used Jensen UV10 from a friend and installed it in a 97 eclipse spyder. I recently bought a 2003 chevy silverado 1500hd LX, and took out the aftermarket JVC cd player to install my Jensen....

Depending on the model, the Silverado may have an amplifier between the OEM radio and the speakers. If that is the case, you will have to remove it and wire directly to the speakers. Check the wiring schematics for the original truck radio option (one source is Alldatadiy.com).

We bought a used car with a Jensen overhead mount dvd player in it and I'm trying ot get the audio working. The car came with 1 audiovox wireless headset and that's the only way we can hear it though I see...

2 WAYS FOR SET UP.
IF INSTALLED THERE IS A ON/OFF SWITCH SOMEWHERE IN DRIVERS REACH THAT WILL TURN ON A FM MODULATOR. THEN TUNE TO A CHANNEL ONE BY ONE TILL YOU HERE DVD MOVIE SOUND.
ONCE YOU FIND THAT CHANNEL LOCK IT IN.

SECOND SET UP.
THE MENU ON SCREEN MAY HAVE SOMETHING THAT MAY SAY "FM MOD"
MAKE SURE IT'S ON AND THAT MENU WILL HAVE AN OPTION FOR SELECTING AN FM CHANNEL.
TRY IT OUT.

CD player in a 2005 XC90 volvo

Sorry, It's not reparable. You have to change it the new one. This price is very high. If your car hasn't warranty, I suggest you, use a portable DVD-USB player with an FM trasmitter in your car. I know it isn't sounds good, but I had the same problem and I have changed the CD player to a new one (it was terrible prize, of course) and I never use CD and DVD since that time. I use mp3 -usb combo only and i haven't any problem. I hope this help.

Jensen MVB85 A8.5 dvd player

Problem: All DVDs would not play in Jensen MVB85A overhead 8.5 DVD player. Error code: "Incorrect Region Code"

FIX:

1. Use the remote to power on DVD player
2. Ensure there are NO DVDs in the drive
3. When you see the DVD logo screen, press 9653 on the remote
4. A hidden menu will open stating the region code. My region code was set to 0 and my I was receiving the error.
5. Press the "OK" button to change the Region Code to "1".

Once the region code was set to 1 all DVDs were playing.

Key words: Jensen Audiovox MVB85 incorrect region code

A broken screen

I just pulled a nearly new one out of our Expedition prior to trading it in. I have the unit only with remote. No mounting braket and I kept the headphones for our new vehicle. Will consider all reasonable offers.
