MY Sony CDX-R3000 will only play CD's. It will not allow me to adjust volume, skip songs, or play the radio

Try and reset it . disconnect battery under the hood for like 5 min and see what happens ..I had that radio and sometimes its just tempermental . take cd out and try it ? Sre any buttons stuck ? If that doesnt work then hopefully u like your cds at the volume they are at . Good luck

I can burn a cd or dvd disc on my computer (

Maybe nothing. Just because you can make a CD that plays on your computer doesnt necessarily mean it will play on your TV. There are many formats in this CD burning business. Some will not cross over to the TV platform. Do you have your manufacturers instruction book or can you find it on line? It may contain additinal instructions to do what you want to do or may tell you why it cannot be done with your machine.

I know this from personal experience. Not all CD's are created equal - plus there is the issue of copy protection that may come into play with what you are trying to accomplish.

Does this shed any light on your problem?
