Donwload "spybot search and destroy" run and clean anything found download "adaware SE", install scan and clean. run and clean anything found run "hijack this" look at startup items and remove un-needed items. Also remove any browser helper objects "BHO''s" found Then your computer will/should behave. cheers. as for email , i'll bet your antivirus program is blocking it. look at your email account settings. Verify the outbound email server settings (SMTP Server) is correct for your emial provider. Emial >> Tools >> options >> Accounts >>> mail servers hope that helps.

try to delete large file or free space your disk , you can see your CPU proccess in task manager if your cpu work 100 % ,that makes your laptop become slow , try to disable program on start up windows->run->msconfig disable program and then try to maintain your laptop performance with utilities like advance system care or tune up utilities , defrag your harddisk , if your laptop still slow , try to reinstall your OS if this happen , then your hardware have trouble

When you going to fix it from bening slow and takes to long to load

PCs will slow over time, that is inevitable. What you should try is defragmenting your laptop. Go to the start menu and search for defrag. Open the defrag application and then defragment your drive.

BATTERY PROBLEM WITH HP PAVILLION DV2000 LAPTOP

It seems like you might have two problems.
My main concern right now is that you might have viruses or spyware. I would clean them out first before dealing with the battery. If you have your notebook powered off and you see the battery light charging, then wait 1 hour, and then try to turn it on without the ac adapter. if it still does not work, most likely the battery needs to get replaced.

to ger rid of the spyware, i would recommend the following

adware at www.lavasoft.com and spybot and www.safer-networking.org

thanks adi

My computer is running slow it takes 10 mins to load up from start

things to try ,
1 depending if you have windows vista or xp or 7
if vista start, all programs, accessories, Command and prompt, Right Click it then run as administrator.
if xp just click it,

then Type chkdsk /f
this is a command to scan the computer for errors and fix them. reboot the computer and wait for it to do the scan this should make it a bit faster , try defragment , delete your browser history and cookies, disk cleanup on accecoties, system tools

Ultimate Defrag is a freeware defrag program.

It will defrag the hard drive and speed things up.
