Hi mayahi_nader, you can recover your files if there is no sounds coming from your HDD (like tik tik tik) and it is still usable and maybe just a OS problem only..
To backup it, you need an adapter from laptop to external HDD (USB type) it is cheap only in our country and assume in yours as well. You will just plug it into laptop then you must be patient to wait sometimes takes 30 mins to comes up(if there is a disc issue). And when it showed just use it like an ordinary USB device.

Hopefully you have backups. Always make backups periodically. If you can't access the hard drive, there are computer services that possibly could recover your info, but they are also expensive. Most people don't realize how important backups are until they need them. Of course, you can reload your programs that you have the original CDs. Good luck.

SOURCE: recovering files from a bad drive using external hdd enclosureh

Hi, I usually use GetDataBack (2 versions FAT and NTFS). I have used this program to recover files from HDs similarly connected (external case > USB). The freeware versions will allow you only a limited number of files at a time, the paid version will allow you to recover all (including purposely deleted files). There are similar programs/freeware but my experience with GetDataBack has been super so far that I really have no reason to look for another one. Pls refer to the 2nd image on this link where GTB was recovering files from an HD that is not even recognized by Windows XP in "My Computer". http://www.fixya.com/support/t191153-device_recognized Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

You may need to try installing windows xp. I had a gateway that had a brand new hard drive and wouldn't take 98, but installed xp flawlessly. Look at the computer and see if it says designed for Windows XP

SOURCE: my Fujitsu MHZ2080BH G2 Hard Drive Froze

With the new controller card attached to the old drive, try to attach the hard drive to another computer via a EIDE/SATA to USB adapter, this way the other computer will read the drive as an external. Now open up Administrator tools in the control panel and click on computer management, then click on disc management. All drives attached to the computer will show here, whether they are active or not. Now find your drive, it will probably show up in the lower column with a drive number but no letter. Right click in the square where it says drive is "offline" click on initialize drive, follow the prompts and click on what ever it suggests. If it goes through the drive is initialized, if it comes up and says "drive not ready", then it means the control card swap sis not work and the drive is a complete loss. Your only option at that point is data recovery in a "clean room" facility.

SOURCE: i have a fujitsu mhu2100at,

The PXE error is not from your harddrive. the computer has failed to reccognise the HDD and so moved to the next bootable option being network, the PXE error is telling you that it cannot boot from network
I would only replace the board on the hard disk with another (same model) if you realy need the data on there. it is possible that the drive is failing because the heads have locked and so replacing the board will not fix, but if you have access to an identical drive its worth a try.
if you dont realy need the data, replace with another compatible drive and reinstall.

SOURCE: how to recover data from corrupted hard drive?

try other usb port, or other computer and see whether the hdd is detected. If still not, try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use this file recovery program called asoftech data recovery to recover your files.

Dell laptop boot problem

Try a "Cold-Start",Remove all media, DVD, CD, USB..etc., Remove AC plug, Remove Battery, Hold down on/off button for 10 seconds, Replace battery, Plug into AC outlet,Push on/off button and Start normally. IF THAT FAILS, reboot while tapping F-8 or what ever will get you to an options list or Boot Menu, my laptop is F-10 for Boot Menu, for example.

Starts to the Fujitsu Screen then nothing

No Actually its fixable

There are a number of issues that can cause this but all of them are hardware related.. Mostly its eighter the hard drive or them main board (bios)

1.) Open up the laptop
You do this by removing the hinge covers, then removing the
face panel(part with the power button)
remove the kwyboard and you wiull have axcess to it..
2.) there is a battery on the main board, simply disconnect it, then remove your laptop battery and hit the power button(switch now) seven times.. Hopefully this will discharge any remaing power and reset your bios..

now try booting, if that works, simply enter your bios(setup) and load the optamised defaults then save and exit..

If that fails, Open back up the laptop again and try disconnecting the hard drive.. If it boots and says no boot disc, then your hard drive is defective and needs to be replaced..

If all that fails you will need to replace your mainboard.. if you are not qualified enough to do this i suggest you take it to a technician,,, Let me know what happens and if you need additional information, just post your question here and i shall reply asap

Laptop SATA drive not working

You cannot take a hard drive out of your faulty HP laptop and insert it into any laptop and expect it to run/boot up. When Windows is installed on a laptop, it is configured with device drivers for that particular laptop and it wont work in another laptop with different devices.
Replace the Dell's hard drive back into its laptop and the Dell should function normally.
To recover data off the SATA Hitachi hard drive, connect this hard drive into an USB hard drive adapter and then plug this adapter with the Hitachi hard drive into the USB port of your Dell. The Dell will detect the Hitachi as an external Mass storage device. You can then open the various folders and files to back up your data onto the Dell laptop or USB memory stick.
If you want to, you can use the Hitachi hard disk as an USB external hard drive by installing it into an USB SATA hard drive enclosure.

Dell latitude C400 will not boot from hard drive.

Hi, This sounds like a dead hard drive. Still, you may want to try: 1. Enter your CMOS/BIOS and verify that your laptop can detect the hard drive. Further check if it is configured to boot first from the HD; 2. Slip in your XP or Recovery CD and boot from that. It may be that the boot section/files of your HD got messed up. When prompted, instruct the CD to repair; 3. Remove your laptop's HD and connect it to a 2nd PC as an external/removable drive using a 2.5 enclusore with USB attachment. Thereafter proceed to diagnose, check and hopefully recover your important files; 4. If confirmed of a defective HD, replace and reinstall your OS. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.

How to unlock or to replace the board

Maksiza, I had a customer who would had their harddrive locked. It was a DELL machine, using a travelstar drive, we called DELL verified they were the owners and they gave the master hard drive password to the hard drive and it worked beautifully. Call Samsung with the machine serial number/tag number/asset number whatever and they should have it if not try fujitsu. http://www.samsung.com/products/notebook/index.htm# http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/computing/storage/hdd/contact/index.html The Fujitsu site looks better. Good Luck, Tim p.s. Of course we called DELL after 10 hours of searching.
