Has software rev 6.3.4. How can I determine whether it needs mandatory software update?

A new, free software update available for your Kindle Fire HD 7" (2nd Generation). This update automatically downloads and installs on your Kindle Fire when connected wirelessly; however, you can also manually download the software and transfer the update to your device via USB cable.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings, and then tap More.
  1. Download & Install Software Updates Automatically.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings, and then tap Sync. The software update automatically downloads in the background, and installs after the download is complete and the device is asleep. Your Kindle Fire will restart during the software update. After the restart, the message"Kindle is upgrading" will appear on the screen.

Migrating XP to Windows 7 (Using your Network)

If you are thinking of buying a new PC and trying to replace an old XP system to a new Windows 7, you might want to transfer your old favorite files to your new computer. Either transferring through a Easy Transfer cable, Network, or via USB

This procedures assumes that your old XP is still working and connected to your home or office network. and your new Win 7 is also connected as well to your networkBoth of your system and computer must be connected to the same network, either in the office or home, because it is easier to transfer files in this way, effectively and efficiently, this is practical than using USB flash drive or any external disk, though the process is similar.

Ensure that you have the Win7 InstallationDVD, or the Easy Transfer Software fromMicrosoft website, ready to be installed on your XP system. but be aware this is for 64 bit version system only, please visit Microsoft website search and download Windows easy Transfer and select "x86" in the file name for 32 bit or 64 bit, install this the same way you've done with ordinary software. In your Win 7 however, this software is automatically installed so do not bother yourself.

In this instance you will be asked if whether you want to transfer your whole data from all user accounts or to just specific user only, in this process you can also select specific files to transfer, but in order to transfer all accounts, both of your XP and WIN 7 must be logged as an Administrator.

So this procedure is Migrating through NETWORK, the other two procedure is Easy Cable Transfer and USB, external Hard disk.

5e79a5b.jpg
1- Prepare both systems and ensure both are connected to the network and working, Start the XP computer and log in as an Admin
2- IN XP , Open up the and start the Windows Easy Transfer DVD, and look or browse for SupportMigwiz. if you have downloaded this simply select Start> All Program> Windows Easy Transfer for Win 7, it will load automatically. Simply read the screen for additional info and click Next
3- A new screen pops out and please select a Network as an option to transfer
4- Click This is my OLD COMPUTER, Still in XP Windows Easy Transfer will then generate a password for the transferring process, because in order to transfer files through the network you will be required to enter a password (record the KEY)

caae297.jpg

After you enter the key, at this time Windows Easy Transfer makes the connection and scans the Windows XP system's contents and components. Once this is over, you can practically choose which data you want to transfer, or you want to import, just like customizing the items you wish to transfer. After you have decided which is which, click Transfer, then a progress bar will appears the process occurs.

The final screen will then show up indicating the process is complete. Confirm to see if the file you have chosen was actually transferred, then close all window, including the Easy Transfer Windows.

Restart your computer, please. Congratulations!

Plug it into the Zune software and perform a synchronization. The zune software is available here: http://support.xbox.com/zune/software/download
Follow the setup, and they should automatically be transferred upon synchronization. You can also enable auto-upload to SkyDrive, and you will be able to download any pictures you take on your phone onto your computer through SkyDrive.

I cannot transfer pics to my computer windows 7

I have researched with your model and found that drivers are not available from the manufacturer. However, most of the Still cameras do not require driver or software to transfer images now a days.

Once you connect the Camera to the computer, you will get the Camera as a removable drive under My Computer. You can open the removable drive to see the pictures stored in the Camera/Memory Card.

If the Operating System installed in your Computer still needs a driver, you may use the Memory Card slot on the Computer to transfer the pictures. Please follow the steps to transfer pictures using Memory Card Reader in the Computer:

- Remove the Memory Card from the Camera.

- Insert it in the Memory Card slot in the Computer.

- Open the pop up window or find out the removable drive under My Computer.

- Copy the required files to a folder in the Computer.

Note : Most of the Notebooks comes with its own Memory Card Slot. If it does not, you may get one from the market without much spending.

Thanks for understanding.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I recently upgraded my computer from windows xp to windows 7. I have a harmony 890. I know it is not compatible with windows 7. What can I do to update my remote?

According to Logitech, the Harmony Software version 7.6 is compatible with Windows 7 as is your Harmony 890. You may need to download the 7.6 version of the software. All of your settings should transfer over to the new software, since your profile is stored on Logitech's server.

2. Connect the Camera to the Computer using the supplied USB cable or any USB cable.

3. The Computer will recognize the Camera (make sure that the recording media containing the pictures (Memory Stick) is inserted in the Camera).

4. Click the Start button and then click the "My Computer" icon (for XP Operating System and for Vista or Windows 7 it will be "Computer" icon).

5. In the "My Computer" or "Computer" window, click the icon that represents the Camera.

6. Click the "DCIM" folder and drag it to the desktop screen of the Computer to transfer the images from the Camera to the Computer.

  3. Turn on the camera. The HP Import Photos software starts on your computer. If you have set the software to automatically transfer the images in the camera, the images automatically transfer to the computer. Otherwise, in the Transfer images from Camera/Card screen, click Start Transfer . The images are transferred to the computer, and then if there are any still images that were previously selected for HP Instant Share destinations, those actions are started.

I'm having trouble downloading photos to my computer with the software that came with my camera. What can I do? Someone deleted my digimax master off of my computer, and i can't upload pictures now for...

No need for you to install any CD software because your camera
will be recognized automatically as a removable disk when your computer has the following Operating Systems.

For transferring pictures with OS (Windows 98/XP/Vista/2000/MAC 9.2-10.3 ):
- Turn off camera
- Plug USB cable to camera and PC
- Turn on camera
- Connect to computer or printer will come out on camera screen
- Select the desired one
- Press MENU/OK
- "New Hardware Found" will be seen on the right lower corner
- A window will pop out with various options
- Example: "Open to View Files", "Copt to a folder"...

* If nothing like those mentioned above happened,

Double check through Computer Devices with Removable storage:
- Look for DCIM folder in any of the Removable storage
- Select 100sscam folder inside DCIM folder
- Upon opening, all pictures will be viewed

Just try to make sure that you'll be using the USB cable supplied
in the package and your PC does have good working USB ports.
