No Signal message displaying after screen goes black

I just recently bought a LCD Monitor a couple of days ago and until just recently a problem came up.

Once and while the screen will flicker black for about two seconds (usually about twice in a row) before returning to normal again and then stop. It didn't do this often. Then just today the screen went black and displayed the No Signal message while my computer was still running. So I did the whole reboot thing and stuff and it seemed fine once everything loaded until it displayed it again. It kept doing that for a while but its stopped at least for the moment. I know it can't be the power because I've checked the pluggs twice to see if they might be loose but they're tight in there.

What could be the problem?

I have the same problem. Its really great to see that this is a known issue. I tried the solution of viziks, allthough my monitor still has the name ''plug and play monitor'' . I wanted to try to install new drivers, where can i find those?

Monitor display says OSD Lockout /no signal input how to fix this?

This document pertains to LCD monitors .
One of the following messages appears on the screen (over the items being displayed).
OSD Lockout
OSD Lock-out
... or similar message.
This message occurs when the Menu button on the front panel is pressed for more than 10 seconds. OSD lockout prevents the OSD menu from opening on the screen when a button is accidentally pressed.
NOTE: The button may be different and the procedure might vary on some monitors. Please check your monitor User Guide to find the exact procedure if this procedure does not work.
To remove the OSD Lockout message, release the Menu button (if something was pressing against it), and press and hold the Menu button again for about 10 seconds - until the message goes away. If the OSD Lockout message does not go away, the button may be stuck or the hardware behind the button might have become defective.

Monitor starts then goes off, no signal

I would check the LCD against another monitor. It does not have to be a LCD, a regular monitor will do.
This will tell you 2 things, 1. The Video card is good or bad, 2. The Cable is sendinf a good signal.
If when you startup the monitor, you see a display and then after a few seconds it display's a no signal message, this is consistant with a Bad cable or cable ends. or Bad VGA card from computer.
Hope this helps. Good luck..
P.S. If you have move the PC, you may want to open the unit, and re-seat the Card. If the card is not making a solid connect on the board, it will display these syptoms.

L1932TQ monitor flashes on, then blacks out

I would try connecting it to another computer or Laptop if you can to see if the problem is the same. You might also try disconnecting it from you computer and turning it on, it should “banner”(show a logo and or a no signal message). If it behaves the same way just a quick flash…. Sounds like its toast.

Gateway monitor FPD1975W won't display

Same problem - unplug both computer and monitor - hold power button for monitor for 15-30 seconds...then power it back on and then power on the computer. Seems from other sites there is a power issue with the monitor - this worked for me.

Black screen, blinking power light, no signal

Hi...there,
It's seems you got a defective DVI card. Try using a VGA cable instead. Have nice day!

Samsung SyncMaster 17" LCD Blacks out

If you have a second monitor, you could use your computer until the monitor goes black... then plug in a replacement monitor. My guess is that one will display black too...

My gut feeling is that your VGA card is on the fritz... I'm not convinced it's your monitor. Do you have a replacement VGA card you can try? I'll bet that'll take care of the problem.
