Question about Kenwood CT 401 Hi-Fi Stereo Dual Cassette Deck Single Dual Cassette Deck

I´ve forgotten in what order I should connect my old (80´s) separate modul hifi system´s remote cables. It shuts down imadiatly when you try to start it with the remote. If I disconnect the FM/AM-receiver it works properly and autostarts the CD-player.

I would have thought that it should go from the amp to the tuner,then the tape deck and finally the CD deck.

I'm suspecting that your tuner is faulty and thats whats causing the system to shut down

If the truck starts fine with turn of the key in the ignition,look into finding the problem with the remote starter system.

Components maybe faulty or not proper.

Module.( Hidden underneath, usually somewhere under steering column area)

Receiver/Transmitter.( Mounted inside vehicle windshield )

Switch.( Under Hood,usually on the top radiator support bar )

Wiring.( all connected to the Module )

Fuse / Relay.

Remote / programming/ remote battery.

Connections that maybe loose,corroded, loose or wrongly connected.

Its also possible your vehicle might need a by pass module to connect with the remote starter module, to enable vehicle starting by remote.

Connect tv to hifi speakers

It doesn't lokk like your TV has an analog out for your Kenwood system. It might have an optical out but unless the Kenwood has optical in then you'll need to upgrade to a Home theater system with HDMI.

That is really old. Once you have tried fresh batteries there is not much more to do.

Amazingly there is one for auction on eBay. Good luck. Personally though, I would not buy it used at that price, I'd get a nice new hifi, maybe DAB radio,

I had to get a new battery for my car and my remote starter starts 3 times in a row after i hit the start button. after the 3rd start it shuts down. can you explain to me how to have it go back to being on...

I am currently having the identical same problem you've listed. After contacting a facility that installs these in my area I was told that the bypass module needs to be reprogrammed. I'm being told that I probably have an older bypass module (Mars 22 system) on my 2007 Ford F150 and that the older ones only hold the programming for a short period of time.(?) Unfortunately my battery cables were unhooked for approx. 20-30mins while we went and bought a new battery. This must have been to long and the module lost it's programming. I was quoted about $50.00 to reprogram it. I can only hope this remedies the problem, as I've yet to have it done, so I can't say for sure right now (10-22-12) that this is definitely going to fix it. I guess I will have to be very mindful the next time I have the battery replaced and make sure it's done quickly if indeed the info I've been given is correct. It's a shame this info is not included in the installation manual, warning of this possibility when unhooking the battery/power supply.

My Kicker ZX-350.4 don´t shut down

I will assume that it used to and has a remote wire connected. if this is the case the only things I can think of would be the remote wire is disconnected/loose/damaged. if that isn't it I would look at your ground wires (all of them at both ends)
if nothing I have mention pans out then I would simply add a heavy duty switch. :)

The trunk of my car doesn,t shut properly...you have to slam it really hard for it to close properly. I,ve tried W-D40 but that only helped a little. Any sugestions, 98 hona accord

Two possibilities:1) The latch part (the one installed in the chassis, not on the lid) has adjusting screws, these might have become loose, pushed down, and the lid part cant reach it when you close it. 2) The remote cable lid opener might be stuck on the open position, not allowing the lid to lock. Check the remote tab by the driver´s side for freedom of movement, and proper return to rest position.

It took some time, but I finally have this figured it out so everything works.

I have the same setup, but I had one additional piece to the puzzle that I had to figure out. I have an older TV and use and antenna, but had to buy an Audio/Video RF Modulator a couple of years ago to use my VCR & DVD player with the old setup.

Get yourself an Audio/Vido RF Modulator (you can pick one up for about $20-30).
Connect the TV to the RF Modulator.
You should have 2 connectors for your antenna. Connect one to the converter "To Ant" and the other to the RF Modulator.
Connect the convertor A/V cable to "IN" on your VCR.
Connect the cable from converter "To TV (RF)" to "UHF/VHF from Ant" on VCR.
Connect the VCR "OUT" cable to the RF Modulator.
Connect DVD A/V cables to A/V input on VCR.

Your TV should be set to Channel 3 (or 4, depending on your setup) and depending on your "input" connections, you should be able to view vidoes from VCR like this and DVD by changing the input (the button should be on your VCR or other remote). For ex. my input changes on my VCR from channels, to L1 & L2. My converter & VCR play on L1 and DVD's play when I change it to L2.

Now, I just have to figure out how to add the converter box to my universal remote. :)
