I think you have 2 problems:
1. The LiNX gets clogged somethings in the head unit and the clog is difficult to see. Remove the head (via the push button). and clean out the clog. I do this with a lenngth of coat hanger wire that I bent a small hock on to the end.
2. If the roller stops turning it can be caused by one of the power wires to the moter getting severed in the swivel connection in the head unit. This has happened to us twice. I took the unit apart (a pain) and was able to fix by soldering and taping wires. However, Hoovers design is not great in getting power to the motor and this may recur. I love these vacuums and I hope they engineer a more robust wie feeding solution.

How do you take apart?
so yes bro. super thank you. ive had it sitting around for like 2 years, no joke. and today was fix or break trying. and yes in the swivel head connect part. black wire wasn't touching. done dilly homie. thank you
I mean the motor now spins for the belt to get movement
Any tips on getting the case to close all the way once the wire has been soldered? I can't find any picture of how to lay the wires to get the outer case to completely close at the corner near where the wires go into the swivel.
I finally got the clog out after pressing the release button and struggling for about half hour with various sticks/wires. Shouldn't it come with a tool do accomplish this? It aint easy to get the clog out. But then again, why would the battery only last 20 minutes? Several problems with this vac. Hoover cares not.

It sound as if the belt may have jumped of the brush roller you should be able to take the base plate off and see if the belt has broken or just jumped off the drive shaft
