Does anyone know what a 102H error means on a Minolta Magicolor 2490MF please ?
The error code is a message from the computer to let you know there has been a problem reaching to an adapter or device. It indicates Port 102h register test error. It means you should try reconnecting the printer, and ensure you have the printer properly installed so that it does show up as the correct printer when you select the Start, and Printers. (Or when you go into Control Panel and then select Printers, to see the installed printers in your computer.)
If the printer is on, is completely properly connected, is properly installed and appears in the list of your installed printers, in your computer Control Panel, then possibly you have some problem with the actual whirring, paper-handling printer device. You may try shutting down your computer, after you save any unsaved work that you were doing, and close applications, and can properly completely shut off the computer by selecting Shut down, from the Start Menu. Also please disconnect any cameras and any USB hubs for this test, but keep the printer connected. No need to turn off the printer; leave the printer on. Power on the computer and recheck the status of the printer, to see if it appears in the list of your installed printers, in your computer Control Panel, and see if the printer appears to be available or ready to print. If the printer does not appear, check its connection again, move the printer USB cable to another USB connection on your PC if it was already connected, and recheck. If you still do not see your printer appear there, it seems you will need to try another USB cable or another parallel printer cable, and proceed to install the printer. See if the printer has any flashing indicator - lighted LEDs, and notice the colors, and any error message. Report any questions you have about getting the printer installed please. Report any questions or problems you have with understanding what the manual instructs you to do to resolve the reported error. Maybe the printer has just gone bad, died, become kaput.
