Sony KV-27V55 skips channel 3. Of course I need that to get my cable signal. I was just given this set, with no remote. But using the channel buttons on the set, it skips over channel 3. Any ideas? Also, I can't get my Verizon remote programmed for this TV. I've tried codes 0027, 11217, 0128, 0013, 0002, 0071, 0380, and 0152. I also tried the brute force method of forwarding through 200 times, but still didn't get it. If I can fix the channel 3 problem, I'll probably buy another universal remote.

Go into the setting menu on the tv and go to channel setup,then select add channel.

Press " i " (info) button on Sony TV Remote so on-screen display will disappear.

Cost for repair and the part isn't worth it old chap, especially when the holidays are coming around the corner and retailers are hurting for business.  Why not get a lighter LCD or plasma tele with better 1080 resolution then stress over trying to save this old dog? Off to the heap with it is what I say.
