Question about Light Outboard Motor Boat Bass Fishing Saltwater Base

2000 9.9 johnson only about 14hrs on it filled tank with gas-oil mix, new plugs started up ran for about 25seconds would rev up then died. now will start but will die after about 5 to 10 seconds, will not rev up at all .new plugs make no differance

    both solutions I got were good, did not know until found loose pieces rolling around bottom of case. thought of water in carb. lucky didn't have to kit carb got sound advice

Check gap on plugs and check mixture of gas and oil.

check for problems in the carby--replace with a kit
check the filter on the end of the line in the tank-- they tend to block up
check for blocked exhaust--- carbined up inside
don't use E fuels as they will not operate on the E mix

First Thing To Do Is Use Pre Mixed Fuel Until This Problem Is Solved Or Engine Damage Could Be The Result.
Pre Mix Fuel -Oil Ratio Is 50:1
Have You Tried Priming The Oil With The Primer On The Oil Tank Supply Line?
Is The Oil Tank In The Boat Low On Oil?

Why does my dt125r 2001 stall at high revs
Drain the tank and switch to a 32 /1 mix. I take it you have disconnected the oil feed to the carb from the 2 stroke tank, if not then your mix contains too much oil. Only switch to 32 / 1 if the oil tank has been disconnected. I hope this helps.

My hedge trimmer will not start... Put in new gas
It's not getting gas, due to being gummed up with old gas. Remove all of the old gas and mix up a batch of fresh gas&oil. Also get some carb cleaner. Put just a little of the gas&oil mix plus an equal part carb cleaner. Try to start it just to work the new mixture through the carb. You might use the spray start to help pull the new gas through. If it fires up on the new gas&oil&carbcleaner mix, shut it off and let it sit for an hour or two. Drain it out and try just a little gas&oiil without the carb cleaner. If all is well fill the tank. If not, repeat the whole process. If you can't clear the gum this way you may have to remove the carb to clean it. Good luck.

I have a 1984 suzuki rm 125 it has always ran good for me. until recently it just putts and runs for maybe 20 secounds and then stalls. i tried to run start it and it kinda fired up but there was way more...
Are you mixing regular motor oil in the fuel? Doesn't this bike have a reservoir for 2-stroke oil? You must use 2-stroke oil in that reservoir. Buy it online if you can't find it locally.

My gas blower was running fine and it ran out of gas i filled it up and primed it and it will not fire ,, i poured a little gas in the spark plug and it did fire and ran rought for a few seconds
Most always this is a build-up, or manifestation of either flat or old gas, gas with too much oil mixed in, or good old H2O in the storage gas container that runs into the power tool as the supplying tank gets a bit low, or gets shaken before filling-up the blower. Completely empty the blower of fuel. If you are not capable, then have someone remove thewater and/or debris from the carb. inside the blower. or Empyt all fuel in the tank then remove the plug and give it "200" pulls, then replace the plug and give it "100" more. This will sometimes move the trash through if you cannot have it professionally repaired. Replace ALL old fuel with new, properly mixed fuel.

1985 40 hp Johnson outboard wouldnt open up and
sounds like your mix is off and it's fowling the plugs. probably too rich. make sure the level in your carb bowls isn't too high. Really sounds like you should clean and bench set your carbs. Especially if a plug change helps but doesn't last, then it's got to be your fuel mix, or maybe timing.

Are the 1988 Johnson vro oil injection system dependable?
the older ones are dependable but they all exspecly being that old its better to be safe than sorry its if it were mine i would mix the gas thats what i tell all my coust the 90 thr 1999 omc vro were terrible the fill the carbs full of oil so i would just mix it that way u know its right just use good oil and that engine will last a very long time good luck
