I am half way through this book and when I turn on the san disk the audio book comes up and now all of a sudden i can't find it. I don't know where my book is. I didn't delete it so it should still be on my san disk--right? What did i do wrong and what keys do u click on 2 bring ur book up? I need to know just exactly how to bring my audio book up. That's all--just whatever it is that gets me on my book. Hope u can help me--seems like no one can tell me how 2 bring this book up so i can listen to it.

U have not helped me. I want to know how to get my audiobooks when i turn on this device. Just tell me how i do that. I've been listening to this book and i'm half way thru it. Can't u just tell me what to click on. I've listened to about 10 books on my device so it's compatible with audiobooks.com and all i'm asking for 12.00 is what buttons to press. Do u know there isn't one thing in the manual that helps me with this. They don't even mention listening to books.

I told u it was a book i downloaded and have been downloading for a couple years--it is not a song. I am half way thru the book and somehow when i click on i can't get the audiobook to appear. I want to know what to do. I have been reading books on this device for 2 years now so it is not improperly downloaded--it is a problem with clicking on and not knowing what to click on. Can u help or what. --Betty Komons

That didn't help at all. First off I don't have a 4 digit pass code and 2nd of all it is not corrupted. Obviously you don't know how 2 tell me how to access my downloaded book. It is in the device and it is NOT corrupted. So i spent 12.00 for no help whatsoever. You just are not trained well enof to help me. It should be a simple process 2 tell someone how 2 download a book. IS NOT CORRUPT--just figure it out and send me the info or don't charge me.

Hello,

what this indicate is that the system has corrupt that data , what you will have to o to solve this problem is to delete from the system (ipod) then download it back has you did ,but if this did nit solve the problem you will have to follow the below instruction if you which

  1. Simply enter the 4 digit combination/pass code at extras screen lock
  2. Connect your iPod to the first computer it was synced with or the computer set as the primary one in iTunes. Open the iTunes application, then disconnect your iPod from the computer, and it should no longer be locked.
  3. Use this final way only if the first two options do not work for you because it is a destructive process.
note this every thing in our ipod will erased. then you will have to star afresh again.

thank you and thanks for using fixya.

Hello what do you mean book that you have downloaded from your computer?is it an mp3 songs?well if its an mp3 songs that you mean, maybe your files are corrupted it would be better if you reformat first your mp3 player copy all the filles from your mp3 and save it to you computer then format your player.next bring back the files that you remove from your mp3 player just be sure that the files that you want to play are same with the format requirements of your player...NOTE...do not load your player with an invalid format it makes your player hang...thanks

Hello,

connect the player into your computer system, create a folder and copy all the files on your player into the folder.

Go to "My computer", right click on your player drive, scroll to "Format" and format the player.

After the player is formatted, copy back all the files you created from the folder back into the player and your book should work/play well again.

Good luck.

Hello,

Not sure what you are saying. You were able to listen to it, but you are not able to listen to it anymore? If this is the case, double check that the license (see site where you downloaded it from) allows more than one "presentation". A lot of free media has limits on how you can use it / number of times you can use it.

Of course, I may have misunderstood completely what you were asking. Please clarify if this was the case.

How do I get the volume to work?

Your reader is for Ebooks, i.e. books in formats suitable for READING only and that is all you can do with the 100 Ebooks the reader came with. What you are thinking of are AUDIO books. Ebooks = you can only read them (visually), cannot listen to them. Audio books = you can only listen to them, cannot read them.

However, since your reader is also an MP3 player and the most popular format for audio books is MP3, you can download audio books to your PC and then transfer them to your reader to take them with you and listen to them wherever you are. From your PC you can also copy the audio books to an SD memory card and then put that card on your reader. Here are 3 ways to get audio books:

1. from your public library (if you live in USA)
2. see the two links I have attached to my answer.ww

I received the following message after downloading an audio book using Overdrive Media Console. Error message: "Please obtain license by transferring this title to device using audiobook...

Hi.
I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at http://e.hbpl.org and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

Fast forwarding for listening to books

I use a Creative Zen V Plus, but have a similar problem.

First, an explanation: the issue is probably with the timecode in the audio track. This can happen when the audio file is created on a computer. The audiobook was likely "ripped" to a file from the original audiobook CD, and your player may not like the format the file is in. The best solution in this case is to recreate the audio files yourself. First remove all of the files from your Sansa for that particular book. Then use CD-burning software on your computer to create an audio CD (not a data CD!) from the files you got from the library. Finally, use the software that came with your Sansa to transfer the audio CD back to your Sansa. This way you know you are getting a correct format on your player.

If you have an additional issue (like me) where the tracks are too long and go back to the beginning every time you turn your player off, you may have to use an audio editor such as Audacity to chop the long tracks up into smaller tracks, but this is quite time consuming. It is best to acquire audiobooks in smaller tracks in the first place. This is the problem I have been faced with while using Audible.com to listen to audiobooks.

Audiobook from netlibrary

ebooks are usually copyrighted or another type of audio format, you have to make sure the ebooks your trying to listen to are MP3 or Unprotected Windows Media Audio files, that is all this device will recognize.

"Synchronize to continue your subscription"

To get rid of that message, you need to connect your Sansa to your computer and open the Rhapsody software to "deauthorize" your Sansa (assuming that you're not going to be using the Rhapsody service). The following URL gives you two options on how to deauthorize your device (look at the bottom section of the page): http://home.real.com/product/help/chandler/en/instruction/auth_deauth_pd-textonly.htm
