I have acquired a remington model 476 powder actuated tool but without a user manual. I am not familiar with the operation of the tool. The cartridge fires with the hammer strike, however the nail doesn't move from the bottom of the barrel. There is a decal saying "Depress tool fully. Lines must match before striking". These instructions were followed. Can you assist with instructions please, or point me to site containing the manual. thanks, much.

if its new warranty it,
otherwise all it should need is a rebuild kit . its just a bunch of orings and gaskets. pretty easy to do. take some pictures as you take it apart to help with reassembly.
Dewalt should have scematics online or ereplacements.com

the tool got stuck, after a shot, it stayed up and I cannot release it to put a bullet and a nail for the next shot, what can I do, I tried to undo the nut in the top of the tool with no success.

SOURCE: I have a shell stuck

Simple take a wood screw and insert it in the spent shell. Gently apply downward pressure while turning the screw a partial thread in. Then use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out using the 476's casing as a leverage point. Just did this and worked well. Allen key and pocket knife ideas did not work as the shell is too tight in the chamber.
