I have 2 -4550 and 2- 9750 3m thermofax machines. I need part that makes the machine shut off. the contacts i believe, where can i purchase these parts.

that model needs a conversion kit it was common for that model to do that and once u convert it 8it will no longer be a fire hazard

On either side of the drive table are single wires that go to each end of the lamp. Remove one screw on each side of the snap-in levers. Turn red handle on left side of unit as you are looking at it. Lift up each lever (screws you just removed) carefully. You can slide the entire unit out from under the clear plastic, then you will be able to see the lamp. It is a long halogen lamp. Do not touch the lamp with your fingers!! The oil on your skin will cause that area to overheat, boil, and blow. Disconnect wires on each side. Loosen bracket screws (2 on each side). Lift lamp out of heatsink tray by porcelain ends and slide out. Replace in reverse order. REMEMBER: DON'T TOUCH LAMP WITH FINGERS. USE GLOVES OR HANDLE BY PORCELAIN ENDS. GOOD LUCK!!

Not really sure what you are asking? Is it a thermofax that is making noise that you use to make transparency with. Or is it transparency making? I never worked on a transparency maker in 20 years of office machine repair... What is it? Is a old machine? If it is that old it may be time to replace it....

I believe you need a new belt. The weight of the water is to much for a loose belt that is connected to the agitator.
2. Make sure nothing is blocking the safety shut off located on the machine.
