Question about Westinghouse LTV-32w1 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I am moving home to nz in a months time and i have bought the listed tvs above. I know that USA use NSTC . Can i get these tvs to work in nz , are they compatiable with the system they run there.
Do i need a converter , or is it a selection in the systems control.
looking forward to your help
They will not work with NZ (NZ uses PAL-B)system directly, you may find a PAL-B to NTSC TV system convert box to make them work. (Only through Ant. or composite input).

I read on this site that unplugging the power cord from the back of the tv while it's on and then replugging back in works. I had the same problem as you along with the controller not working. When I tried this suggestion, I was very surprised that it worked. The tv and controller both immediately funvtioned properly. I assume there must be some sort of "rebooting" that takes place. Anyway, good luck.

in this case i have to know if your tuner is working fine or not. First of all i like you to connect any external player Exp. DVD or blue-ray player if that works with audio then it is inverter board. if audio doesn't work then its main board. Also you will find out that if dvd is working fine on your tv than your tv setting is wrong or the tunes is dead. either way if tuner is gone then you have to change the main board. Either way let me know what went wrong i can provide you more information about what part need and where can you get it from.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Also rate me if you like this post.

You need to remove the stand to get to get the back cover off, this is what it looks like inside, the power supply module is at the bottom of the chassis.
ALL the screws must be removed, they are around the edge and around the middle of the back also.
