Start by checking the connections on the base. Make sure the AC power adapter for the base is still plugged into the base and a wall outlet or power strip. If you are still not getting any lights, either the power cord or the base have gone out and will need to be replaced. If the headset is dropping the calls, try resetting the headset to the base.

Other things that could be causing the headset to drop the calls is that you are getting too far away from the base; if you move back in range, it should pick the call back up.

Also the battery could be dying in the headset and is no longer rechargeable. The battery is not replaceable in the headset. The headset will need to be replaced.

Sound level is inconsistant in headset. Unable to adjust volume with "rocker" buttons.

The Plantronics 510s system includes the 500A base and the Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset. Number "one" on the lower back of the 500A base is the loudest setting for your listening volume, I would also check to make sure that the compatibility setting on the left side of the 500A base is set to "one", so the number one should be lined up in the 3 o'clock position (which would also be lined up with the ridged area to the right). Number one compatibility setting is the most common setting for most phones. You can also try using the headset with a cell phone to see if the volume adjusts or not, if it still doesn't work properly, maybe the headset is just wearing out. Can sync earpiece to base. Please help.

Here are the pairing instructions for your Plantronics Voyager 500A base:
On the base, press and hold both speak volume fine adjust buttons until the blue talk/on line indicator light and red power indicator light start to flash.
Now put the headset into paring mode that you will be using with the base.
Pairing is complete when the talk/on line indicator on base illuminates solidly.

User has a iCom Bluetooth Hearing Aid adapter paired with her Plantronics Voyager 500A base station on a Cisco 7940. When on an active call and she receives another incomming call, her current call is...

Make sure that the Plantronics 500A base inteli-sensor switch is set to the number one setting (should be set on the one line, not the two line setting, on the right side of the 500A base unit). Also if you are using an EHS (Electronic Hook Switch) instead of an HL10 Handset Lifter, that could be the issue as well. The only other thing is to check the user guide for the hearing aid and make sure that there is not an "auto answer" setting that may need to be turned off. Here is a link below for the 500A / 510S user guide.

I've plugged everything in, no signal on headset...what could be the problem?

Make sure that the Plantronics Voyager 510S / 500A headset is powered on (remember that it has an individual power button on the actual headset), and that it is paired up to the 500A base unit. Below is a link for the user guide.

Try re-pairing the headset to the Plantronics 500A base unit to make sure that it has a good connection. And of course you also need to be within the 30ft range of the 500A base, and you can typically only use around 6-7 of those units together in the same area.
