I have a Silhouette dehumidifier model # DDR583R which is about 2-3 yr old. The red light indicating a full tank is on and no water is collected. When I checked the sensor & manually pushed it the light goes off but within a few seconds of releasing it the light comes back on. I have called the Danby parts & service only to be told that this model has been disc. Any ideas. Thanks

Delonghi dehumidifier overflows

these humidifiers are total junk. The sensors are cheap and get stuck or broken so easily. for your problem tho, you can either find the sensor by taking off the cover and use your hands to break free any stuff causing it to get stuck or you can drill a hole in the water tank and insert some fish tank tubing and let the water drain out as it collects.

I have a slow blinking red light - not working

Normally, the slow blinking red light, indicates that the water collection tank/bucket is full and needs to be emptied. If the bucket is NOT full, it indicates that the tank/bucket was not installed or reinstalled properly, because it did not make secure contact with the bucket removal safety switch. Removing the bucket and reinstalling it properly will normally resolve the problem. Make sure the bucket fits squarely into it's holder from top to bottom.

In case you have misplaced your Owner's Manual, I have included a link to it, that you can download and print for future reference. http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/content/pdfs/117029-1.pdf

I hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Water tank still gets full when connected to floor drain

Check the fitting where you connect the drain hose to. It may have a plastic seal that must be cleared out in order to use the hose drain. The plastic seal can be easily punched out.
