Where would I find this transparent tape in the printer so I can clean it? Also how can I get to it to clean it?
Thanks,
Chuck
I have the same problem as the other comments. My printer keeps indicating align cartridges which I have done numerous times. How do I clean or replace the transparent tape problem. Since the other messages I read are from February and it's now May I have a bad feeling about getting this fixed timely. Please prove me wrong.
I do not know if you are referring to transparent tape to be removed before replacing cartridge. If it is this there must be a strip of cellotape to be removed on the cartridges bottom, where the ink comes from.
If it is not this , please give more details on the problem, as we cannot see your other posts, about chuck and transparent tape.
Generally, if you keep getting a cartridge alignment or cartridge replacement warning it may be a problem with the cartridges. Each HP cartridge has a chip , if the cartridge is faulty or refilled you can get the message. Did you try any other cartridge set?
After installing new cartridges did u do a hard reset?
It should be on the carriage. You may have to remove the top and side covers to gain better access. The inks are water soluble, so just take a damp cloth and wipe along the carriage.
Hope that helps.
