Transparent printer tape

Where would I find this transparent tape in the printer so I can clean it? Also how can I get to it to clean it?
Thanks,
Chuck I have the same problem as the other comments. My printer keeps indicating align cartridges which I have done numerous times. How do I clean or replace the transparent tape problem. Since the other messages I read are from February and it's now May I have a bad feeling about getting this fixed timely. Please prove me wrong.

I do not know if you are referring to transparent tape to be removed before replacing cartridge. If it is this there must be a strip of cellotape to be removed on the cartridges bottom, where the ink comes from.
If it is not this , please give more details on the problem, as we cannot see your other posts, about chuck and transparent tape.
Generally, if you keep getting a cartridge alignment or cartridge replacement warning it may be a problem with the cartridges. Each HP cartridge has a chip , if the cartridge is faulty or refilled you can get the message. Did you try any other cartridge set?

It should be on the carriage. You may have to remove the top and side covers to gain better access. The inks are water soluble, so just take a damp cloth and wipe along the carriage.
Hope that helps.

Some times you can get alignment problems if you have used refilled cartridges. This is a dirty trick by some companies to ensure that you buy only genuine inks from them..
If you are using refilled cartridges, try using original inks and see if this solves the problem

I have Samsung CLX 3175 laser printer. Am getting invalid toner message although parts are genuine

Well, eventually I worked it out: The "contacts" are four square fields to the left on on the backside of the cartridge. And it works instantly. (I read somewhere that it needs to be fully transparent tape. The 'blurry' tape leads electricity and doesn't work.)

The transparent film was out of the location when I were change the ink. How do I put it back into the right location?

Hi! here is ... 1. Open your printer i.e. left and right spock. 2. Put your transparent belt between the Cartridge & back board. 3. Each corner there is a small rubble pin. 4. Put your transparent belt any one of the pin. 5. Now put the another one. 6. Remember that let them straight... thanks

My ps 1100 label maker prints only on black side of tape

This depends on the TAPE CARTRIDGE you have in your label printer. Apparenlty, you have a TRANSPARENT TAPE on it, and the printer prints in BLACK only.

Just replace the tape cartridge
