I have an Electrolux IQ Touch dryer. Just now it stopped working. When I hit the start button, it makes a buzzing sound and then goes on Pause. I called Electrolux and they had no idea what was wrong. I also tried reseting according to the user manual, but nothing. Any ideas? Thanks!

From my understanding your Electrolux washer is not starting no matter what buttons are pushed. This could be a possible problem with your keypad or control panel. I noticed that you have already performed a reset and that was done when you unplugged your washer for 15 minutes. I would now recommend having a technician out to perform a diagnosis. In order to do so you would need to disassemble your washer and test each component to make sure they are working properly. The technician would have the appropriate tools needed to do this accurately. From the information you have provided your Electrolux dryer's displays blinks on and off when you turn the dial and it does not start. This sounds like a possible issue with your door latch or control panel. I would recommend for you to check the door strike and door latch to make sure there is no visible damage. If you do not see any damage this could be a wiring issue within your door latch or control panel. You probably have a stuck button on the touch pad. Try pressing it repeatedly firmly it may unstick.Otherwise you may need to call a pro to diagnose the problem.

Is the water turned on. Make sure the door is shutting properly.

Are you getting fault code E40? Certainly sounds like a door lock problem. Is the spring on the door catch strong enough to operate the door lock? sometime the plastic moulding that holds the door catch mechanism breaks if the door was forced open. Double check the connector on the new electronic door lock. If not his, may be electronic panel problem, or connections pulled of the board while you were fitting the new door lock.

I have the same problem, I searched and found an answer but closed the page before I saw all these folks having problems. I realize my post is late for most but for future people looking for this answer the page I found with an answer said this with more words. Behind the machine where the water hose enters the machine is a small screen, remove the hose to access this screen and flush out any particles, replace and you should be fine. I now have to find some strong men to move my stacked machines. Hope this helps.

To deactivate the demo mode:
Turn cycle knob to last cycle on right. Press start to save cycle position.
Press cancel to turn machine off.
Within 10 seconds, wake unit by pressing start once, immediately press and hold cancel and right most key under the display together for a minimum 6 seconds.
“DEMO MODE” will no longer be shown in the display.
