Last night the I turn the AC to cool and the no matter where
the thermostat is set the compressor will not turn on, fan runs fine, but no
compressor. This morning I take the front cover off and check the wiring
everything looks fine, put it back together and the compressor comes back on. It
runs for a while and turns compressor off like it should. I leave it for a
couple minuets then adjust the thermostat to try to get it to come back on,
nothing. Also the thermostat seems to run high, by that I mean that it turns on
only if above 7 (out of 9) or so. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. it is a WG1005R.
In the afternoon and late evenings, the compressor won't come 'till late evening 10:00 PM or so. It then works fine all night. It is set for 60 deg.
The A/C sits in a window on West side of house. I can sometimes force the A/C to work if I turn the unit to the Dry selection.
Where is the thermostat located? How do I get to it? And where can I locate one?
Thanks
Paul
