I have a kenwood ddx512 double indash and when i put in a dvd i can hear it but the screen shows blue with parking off in white letters why is that

with your remote control,or any kennwood remote control ( for car seteroes), dial the letters KCAR

Did you check the voltage coming from the blue/white wire or from the battery? Are you sure you have a good ground?

sounds like you are using the antenna turn on wire (solid blue) instead of the amp remote wire (blue/white stripe) to turn your amp on.

Indash DVD units are programmed not to allow DVD's to play while the car is in motion. The unit only allows DVD viewing when the car is parked and the parking brake activated.

To get around this, you simply splice the parking break wire from the radio to the -NEG wire of the radio.

u need to switch function screen to dvd screen. Button is on front of unit to scroll through screens.

I grounded my Jensen to a screw inside the dash. I had to put a switch on it though - Jensen requires an on-off-on sequence with the parking brake, which applies and removes the ground. I duplicate this by throwing the switch. Check the manual or online references to see if you have to do this. If you do, you'll need a switch. If not, you can just ground the wire.

You must connect the green wire to the parking break. Then you can only look at it when you are in park.
