Question about Maytag MSD2656G Side by Side Refrigerator
My freezer is working fine. But I am unable to get the refrigerator section to cool. Making adjustments to the sliding temperature setting levers does not help. Can it be "stuck" in the defroft cycle, or perhaps the thermostat "coil" has gone bad. Compressor seems to be fine. And the freezer is plenty cold. I am leaning towards replacing the thermostat, but don't know if that is necessary with the freezer cooling as it should?
The controls should be set half way, If you want a colder food compartment turn the frezzor control to a lower setting. You may have a defrost problem though see if you have a snow build up on back panel inside the frezzor if it does you have a defrost problem it could be a defrost timer. heater. limiter. evap fan.

All the cold air is made in the frezzer section then blown to the refrig section, the frzzer needs tobe -5 or 0 degrees F, also post model and serial number
alot of time people think if it freezes water it is cold but that happens at 32 F
