I have hp 6910p with broken lcd so i disassampled the lcd then i connected external monitor then turned on the laptop power led is on and red speaker light is on but laptop is not working there is only...

broken as in cracked, or just dead, define the word broken please..
eternal VGA monitor use that set of words to be clear.
the HP command Fn+F4 must be used to turn on the VGA jack
(internal,external,both , auto) 4 choices on mine.

lost the manual>? those key strokes are covered there and more.

if the Latop PC is dead, and FnF4 fails on any External monitor (
no text at all means dead.)
then next remove the silly old large battery first, this is always first.
not new LCD panel.
then new coin cell, RTC coin cell, dead, makes BIOS go nuts.
and screens too.
what is next turn it on, does the fan blow air. or dead silient it must
or there is no power. the CD tray is dead?
try a new AC power pack? now. at this point in the process
keep that nasty huge battery out until the PC run good again.
win
there are more test, if you had said the fan is dead,
bios dead, and the coin cell new. answer be totally different.
it be power diagnosis time

Hp L1730 (P9625A) tiene manchas en el display

Just press your finger anywhere on the screen and it will turn darker around that spot.
You obviously warped the outside lid of your laptop. See if you can take the lid and the LCD apart and straighten the lid to relief the LCD-pressure from behind (literally...)

Where dos jumper located on compaq 6910p and how can i remove bios password on 6910p

Most "laptop" computer do *NOT* have a jumper that can be used to bypass a BIOS password.
This is DELIBERATELY done, so that a thief in possession of your laptop cannot bypass your password, and thus cannot use your stolen laptop.

Find your original bill-of-sale, to prove ownership, and telephone HP/Compaq, and ask for Technical Supoprt in resetting the BIOS password.

I have an hp compaq 6910p lap top which a friend has password it in the setup and i am finding it difficult to use it. what should i do to clear the password in the setup. eric

You can try to open your computer and disconnect the cmos battery for 10 minutes. this is a small battery that keep the changes saved. When you disconnect it, All changes will be lost. So also the password. This is the sequence:

1: take off the accu
2: open up the laptop
3: take the cmos (small flat round battery) out
4: Wait 10 minutes
5: plug in you adapter and boot the laptop
6: when you see that the password is gone, power off the laptop
7: plug everything back in.
8: You are done! :)
