Singer 7463 wont sew just beeps when foot is pressed

The foot pedal is just a variable resistor to give you speed control of the motor
You say the machine is new so it will still be under warranty
have a service technician check it out
It could be a faulty control pedal or leads or motor

Check your manual for some troubleshooting tips. Something is not plugged in, or seated right, like the bobbin.

Years ago, my second Singer [760] foot control "went", out of warranty. Singer weren't very good with parts for older models, and the sewing machine guy had to find another foot control and I had to do a lot of rewiring.

Anyway, if you go Online and look for your local Singer stockist, the part number should be there.

Is it fitted correctly? Some of these feet need to be helped a little to get them to snap into place. (press down on the presser foot bar)

try
rethreading the machine top & bobbin
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or thread
make sure bobbin is inserted correctly & that it's not damaged
try changing the needle

1.the motor belt is probably broken
2.the motor belt may be loose-needs to be serviced

1.the electrical cord may be defective-replace
2.the motor maybe burned out-smell the motor to see if it smells like a dirty pair of socks, if the motor smells it needs to be repalced
