SOURCE: hello i have an Delonghi esam

I had this problem until I realised that you need to switch the machine off by pressing the on/off button on the front of the machine first *before* switching it off at the back and unplugging it. This moves the infuser unit further to the bottom and then allows you to take it out.

SOURCE: petrol gauge stuck on empty and light constantly

Sounds like a broken gas tank sensor in the gas tank. The sending unit has probably gone out.

SOURCE: Can't remove infuser to clean it

Try unplugging the machine; wait 20 seconds; plug back in and wait for the diagnostic cycle to complete. Turn off machine. Now see if the infuser can be removed. Assuming this does the trick, before reinserting the thoroughly cleaned infuser, check that the two screws that hold the infuser holder to the back plane, which become visible when the infuser is removed, are tight. These are screws with a hex head socket, so you will need a hex screwdriver to tighten them.

Hi.

The machine is not flashing an error message. When a problem is detected you get an error message on display.

First hold down ESC (or STOP/CLEAR depending on model), just in case machine is stuck in programming mode.

Disconnect power cord for two minutes. Connect back and try a reset if the problem is not fixed:

•Press the CHANGE button and the appliance displays "RESET TO DEFAULT YES";
•Press the OK button to reset the factory default values;
•Press the MENU button to exit programming mode or NEXT to change other parameters.

If that does not work, try holding down rinse or descale. If the machine starts rinse or descale, complete the procedure. If machine gets stuck in rinse or descale, keep filling the container while performing the procedure.

If all that does not fix the problem, call Delonghi at the number listed on the owners manual, the machine is defective.

Try all the rest first, or Delonghi may ask you to do some of the same procedures while operator is waiting at the phone.

Regards.

Ginko.

I removed the infused and cleaned then returned it but the red light is still on in the red triangle and green cup lights still flashing

Hello Karen,
I am not a service professional; however, I have owned 2 Delonghi espresso machines for 15 years now and done several service repairs on my machines and they are still running great! Was the machine running ok before removing the infuser?? Please be sure to read section 10.2 of your service manual. If not available, you can visit here to view manual https://www.seattlecoffeegear.com/assets/user-manuals/delonghi/delonghi-esam-3300-user-manual.pdf

Additionally, make sure you have inserted the infuser back onto the machine correctly. Review towards the end of section 10.2 where you must make sure the infuser is compressed back closed and upon inserting it onto the machine the red buttons must click that the infuser is installed correctly? Please see troubleshoot picture attached. Also be sure to clean your machine inside underneath the infuser as many coffee grounds are collected there after a period of time. I don't know how old you machine is, but replacing the o-rings on the infuser and greasing the moving parts (o-rings) is recommended. Be sure to use lubricant recommended for food contact. I hope this helps you get your machine back on track? If not, please upload a video to better help you. Good luck, Enrique

Infuser jammed in ESAM 5600 cannot get it out

Obvious question really, but is the power turned off? You cannot get the infuser out if the power is on. Or has it been reinserted recently, and incorrectly? The only time I have known of issues getting them out is if the power is on, or if the power went out when it was not parked, in which case turn the power back on it, let it go through the warm up cycle, then turn it off again, let it shut down, then remove the infuser

Unable to remove infuser, no warning light, reset multiple times, brews coffee fine

You should go to test mode and try moving infuser up and down to position when you can take it out it needs some skill of timing. After that you need to disassemble infuser completely clean it up and lube with special food grade lube. Also there could be a problem with transmission kit that cause this problem.

I have a delonghi magnifica. The ! light stays on solid, and the cup lights stay on green solid. The infuser does move up and down when I unplug and re-plug, but eventually it sits in the up position, with...

If cleaning the infuser doesn't work, sometimes the error will go away over time or after you try to unplug from the wall. Finally, a system reset may help: you accomplish a hard reset by having the machine plugged in, pressing and holding down both the decalcify and ground coffee buttons, unplug the machine for 15 seconds (still holding down the buttons), then replugging the machine into the socket before releasing the buttons.

Can't remove infuser to clean it

Turning off the power with the button is not enough. Instead, to remove the infuser: unplug the machine, wait a few seconds, plug it in again and turn the machine on. Even though you are technically turning it on, the machine will sense it was not turned off in an ok way, so it will "properly" shut off (and unlock the infuser).
