Hi jason
To answer your question;
You do not need to connect that wire but you need to bypass the parking brake function in the menu.
Here`s the parking brake bypass procedure:
1: Go into AM/FM mode 2: Hit "setup" on the remote control 3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each numberentered 4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen. 5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen. 6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another. Hope this help Cheers
You can try the procedure for the VM9311TS model (the one I have) - I
don't know if it'll work but it's worth trying. Put in a DVD, and let
it start playing. Then hit STOP on the remote twice, and enter the code
1264. If you were able to see the actual movie
at this point, you'd see a menu pop up. Push down twice, then ENTER. At
this point the blue screen should clear and you should see the movie
itself. You'll have other options on that menu, like a macrovision
option to allow you to see burned DVDs. Set what you like, then on the remote, hit SYS SETUP twice to lock in your choices.
Here's a Bypass to solve that.
Turn your 9312 on and set to radio then Using your remote enter 543210 and make sure you hear a beep each time, a new menu screen will pop up, click the hammer and screwdriver on the upper left side,Next press the menu line for brake override, a
sub menu will appear, select ON,Press the X at the lower left of the screen and you're done enjoy and be safe.
You can get into the master system by using your remote.
1.Make sure your Jenser VM9312 is on, and select
AM/FM as your source.2.On
your remote, press the Setup button, located on the lower right of the
remote, you should hear a beep from your VM9312 when you press the button.
3.Now,
making sure you hear a beep after every key press, press, 543210.
NB:If you
did this correctly, a new menu screen will pop up.
4.On the display, press the hammer and screwdriver
icon, located on the left hand side of the screen. NB: Here you can bypass the break and regions etc. When done Press
the X at the lower left of the screen and enjoy.
go to am/fm
then open the settings screen
next on your remote type 5,4,3,2,1,0 listening for each beep
a new screen should come up
after that look for brake override
go to www.ecoustics.com then click on forum at top click car audio then multimidea. and read Teir are bypass codes for several models here.just have to look for them.
That is the code for the older jensen's
