I870 how do i change the display name on my phone-it has the previous owners name on it all the time when i open it my phone had a previous owner and it still displays their name on it under the time. i've gone through every option in my phone and i cant find anything that remotely regards it. can you help me find a way to take their name off or at least put my name there instead??

If your operating system is Windows 10 most windows now days has a digital key that when you activate the operating system key, it is automatically attached to your service with Microsoft. If this is the account change your looking for, if not then then go to control panel you can right click on start search control panel open and then go to add a user. when you add your information make sure you put yours as the Administrator, then you can delete the previous owners user file name. I do not suggest that you change the previous owners file name for the fact that it might be locked without a password for you to do so. and removing it will block all access remotely. to prevent backdoor access even from hackers.

you either have to do a factory reset on the phone or the previous owner of the phone (assuming there was one) has to release the phone or request a bill by calling nextel

If it's like my i730, that info is stored in the 'Profiles' section from the main menu. You can delete the profile to remove the name from your screen

from the main menu,choose more till you get to profiles,click ok and edit.you can then delete current name and or put your new name in the phone display.
