fot the most part, you have solved your problem (pow bd), The main bd may also need to be replaced as well. The is a signal upon powering up the system. the pow bd communicates with the signal board. The signal bd, also is responsible for ALL of your additional I/O lines. Between the two of these, + a firmware update, i think the tv will be just fine.
Your Tv power supply is in protection, this means it wont start up, could be static. Rather take this to a Service Centre to check, If you have insurance claim it under the section travel/moving goods etc
dear, you can check that transformers out put before connecting to a tv. also when its connected to a tv.
get a avo meter and connect in series with a tv.
observe the current on the intial switch on and when the picture goes. if you notice that current on intial switching is high and then it starts going lower and lower, then change the transformer.
but if the current starts going up from the intial current then check the power supply components of the tv.
