I have a Goldstar mvh1615ww series microwave that will not heat.Everything works but it will not heat.Please help

Here is a tip that will help you to figure out what is wrong with your Microwave Oven....

only some models will have an external diode. most are built into the capacitor ( very difficult to test ). your capacitor should be located on the right side of your microwave ( varies between makes and models ) , round tube with 2 leads coming off one usualy going to the transformer... without a capacitor discharge tool i would not reccomend servicing it or even testing it yourself ( stores dangerous voltages ) even when unplugged..

number 1 and 2 problems:

capacitor not working ... unless you are trained ... dont mess with it

door safety interlock switch burned and not closing.

When this happens, the oven does not know the door is closed and will not turn on the heat.

remove the cover, find the switches and check them.

find replacement through a fixya.com advertiser a local appliance parts place or www.repairclinic.com

everything works except the heating system what shell i do?

Could be the high voltage capacitor or the diode. Both can easily be checked with the proper ohm meter. It could also be the magnetron tube which you really cannot check. Bill

Try the TURNTABLE ON/OFF pad. Touch this pad to turn off the turntable or turn it back on. “OFF” will appear in the display when the turntable is turned off.

Do you mean MV1615?

the bullet fuse to the klystron circuit may have blown
it is a thermal bullet fuse ,
google that to see what it looks like.
if you have a ohm meter it will give low ,closed resistance.
