First thing, check the HDMI input and make sure it is firmly connected, same for the power cable, obviously. My Samsung goes similarly nuts if it detects no signal from the currently selected input but after 1-2 minutes it eventually stops and I can change the input source.
Use HDMI cable to connect the television and home theater. You can see the HDMI input at the back of your television and the HDMI output of the home theater at back of your player.
switch the HDMI cable to another HDMI port (if available). or use and AVI/COMPONENT to make sure the device (HOME THEATHER) is working fine. Try also another HDMI cable or hook another device into it to see how it works. If you determine the HDMI port in not working properly, then your Mainboard is damaged and need to be replaced, try EBAY for a general
picture of prices but you will need your product code wich is located
in the back of the TV next to serial number.
Is your Panasonic set to monitor the HDMI input? Just like selecting a mode input on the Tv you must also select the mode input on the surround system.
