Hi. Iam after some tech advice on my LG plasma which has stopped showing a picture.

Sounds like you have have already answered your own question, if that board has burn marks its definitely bad. Now for the bad news, boards for older plasma sets go for a lot of money in most cases because they are highly sought after so the set may not be worth repair

My samsung LN37B550k1fxza, Has Sound But no picture! day old!

While it is playing, sound that is, try holding a flash light right up next to the sceen, preferably in a dark room, and see if you have any picture. You really have to focus on it and watch closely. If you can see any picture, you probably have a bad inverter. The inverter lights the back lights in the panel to illuminate the picture. The flash light basically does the same thing from the front. The inverter is the board on the far right with several of the same kind of wires disapearing down the side. Thanks. Let me know what you find.

Toshiba 36HF71 has sound but no picture

Same problem with mine. Relays click, sound, no picture and a flashing power LED. I finally found a schematic online. I went through the high voltage circuits and found the power transistor 2SC5570 was shorted out. There is also a pico fuse in that area but my was not open. I replaced the transistor and prayed the flyback transformer was not shorted. It wasn't, I'm watching my old 36" right now. Not a bad fix (17.00) bucks. Wonder what a service tech would have charged ;)

TV Picture Goes Black

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
Thanks to those who posted the solutions
