Borrowed a neighbors and she said she has to take the yellow tip off and on the get the pressure to flow. but I cannot get the tip off!!

Buy, borrow or find someone with a fuel pressure tester kit.

The kit has a pressure gauge and a selection of hoses and adaptors so the fuel pressure gauge can be fitted to a variety of vehicles so the pressure can be tested or monitored under several conditions as well as providing a facility to measure the volume of flow in a given time.

Sounds like the monitor you are connecting to is bad. Try another monitor.

Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker. See if it displays correctly.

First of all, check to see if you are getting water to the pump. Sometimes there is a screen to prevent minerals and what not from getting into pump. If you are getting water to pump , insure that it is rotating, Is it a direct drive or a belt drive pump? If it is a belt drive, Insure the belt is in place on the drive sheaves. If the belt is in place on the sheaves, check to insure that the sheaves are not rotating freely on the shaft. You need to check for Keystocks. They will be in a groove, machined into the shaft and used to hold the sheaves in place. If there are no grooves machined into the shaft, then you will have a flat side on your shaft. Check the setscrews on your drive sheaves for looseness. Tighten as needed. If all of these items check out, remove the compression tip on the wand and try to get water out of the pump that way. If you get flow you may have a clogged tip. Unclog with compressed air through the opposite end or a paper clip should push out the clog. If that does not clear up your problem Insure there are no leaks around the pump, no leaks? Well then its time to borrow your neighbors, rent one, get your money back on that one or hire someone else to do the job while you sit in your lazyboy and watch the game.

Look for particulate matter that plugs the spray nozzle. Remove the tip and test for flow. Sometimes older spray has particulate matter that comes out of solution.

usually when the power washer pressure stops the machine is running out of water. the sweep function uses a little more water than the round wash tip. Make sure there are no leaks in the supply hose and that the supply faucet is turned on all the way and has plenty of "flow". also make sure the water connection at the washer is not leaking. use a new rubber washer to make a good seal on the supply hose on both ends. if either end leaks or can **** air, just a little bit of air into the pressure washer will cause it to loose pressure.

With the tip removed you have pressure? or you have flow. Usually, with no tip you have very little pressure with lotsa flow. Sounds like tip clogged up. Have you tried other tips? If you hold the tip up to the light you should be able to see through the oriface.

1. Connect the water supply hose, the pressure hose, and the wand WITHOUT any nozzle tip.

2. Turn on the water supply, and press the trigger until water is smoothly running out of the nozzle
after any air is all purged out. Release the nozzle trigger.

3. Start the engine, and let it warm up for about 30 seconds.

4. With the engine running smoothly, press the nozzle trigger. The water should flow out of the nozzle (without the tip installed) at a faster rate, while the engine noticeably loads down as it used to do before your "no pressure" problem. If it does not load down, turn it OFF, and disconnect everything, and contact a Karcher repair facility.

5. If the engine does load down, release the trigger, and install one of the nozzle tips (not the black one).

6. Press the trigger, and the engine should load down, and you should have normal pressure from the wand. After you release the trigger and press it again, you will probably again have no pressure, and the engine will not load down. Removing the nozzle tip, pressing & releasing the trigger, and re-installing the tip should give you normal pressure again, but releasing the trigger will cause no pressure until you again remove the tip, press the trigger, and re-install the tip.

This is caused by a bad UNLOADER VALVE, which is located under a black cap with a metal button on it located on the top front of the pump. I don't know if you can purchase the replaceable parts from a Karcher repair shop, but when a neighbor & I took his washer to a repair place, it looked pretty simple to do this repair, and he was charged about $60 to replace a $5 (maybe) part, and it took about 5 minutes.
