Have two gray spot's on sceen - Dell W3706MH 37 in. LCD HDTV

Could be mainboard or more likely it is the display in either case you will need to contact acer tech support.

It sounds like a DMD apart of the light engine also, called the optical block.
The dots will increase day by day. part.
You can have the DMD replaced or the whole optical block. Unfortunately this is not a cheap repair. TVs are so cheap these days.

A fixed blue area on screen may be a display panel (main screen unit)

Unfortunately, It's likely that your screen has been irreparably damaged. Probably, pressure was applied to the screen and ruined that part of it.

If you like to fix electronics, it may be possible to buy a non-working Sansa on eBay, open the case and replace the screen.

You can probably continue to use the player without fixing the gray spot. If it bothers you, the easiest solution would be to get another player....

Intermittedly LCD fault is caused by the faulty connnection within the cam.
Try and see if there is a pattern. It could be caused by temperature, particular mode or others

If in warranty I recommend repair.

First trying cleaning off dirt /dust if after you do this and you still see spots then you could have a bad color wheel or bad light engine.

I have posted the answer to this problem if the sceen is misaligned just turn off the machine and hold down the frist to buttons turn the machine back on the singer sceen shows up touch ithe sceen it should freeze and then a small black box should show up touch the box and it should move to a differant spot touch it four times and then rub you finger accross the stright stiche white button at the bottum of the sceen this saves the changes.

check the RGB supply it is 180volts or the capacitor value 10/250volts (4.7/250v, 2.2/250v)
