I have a LEXMARK 2300 . I put the disc into the new lap top thatb i bought and I am afraid that tyhe disc failed to install - was it some thing that I have done or is it because my new machine is "windows vista" I would app-reciate your advice

As Windows Vista is recently new, your driver CD is too old to be used in setting up your printer.

Notice your printer listed on the page, from here you can download, run and install your printer for Vista.

    go there,,find the lexmark link, and pull new drivers, install em..you may want to remove the old s/w first, however.

Having just bought a new tower for our computer, I am trying to install the Lexmark 2300 software disc for our printer, and it 'failed'
Try downloading the driver of the internet instead. Sometimes discs given withprinters don't always work perfecty. You can go to driverguide.com and check it out. Also, make sure your operating system is compatible.
