How do I reset the humidity % on my DE45EAL. It shows 52 even though I set it to 40%?

The easiest way to try to reset the dehumidifier is to turn it OFF & unplug it for 15 minutes. After the time has elapsed, plug it back in and turn it ON. The electronics should have reverted back to the original factory settings during that time out. In which case you can set the controls as you like.

Hope this helped you & thanks for choosing FixYa..

Not running- CH 24 code on the Humidity setting & empty bucket red light flashing even though bucket is empty and in place correctly

If the bucket is in place correctly, turn the unit OFF & unplug it for 10 minutes. This should allow the electronics to rest and revert back to the original factory setting after you plug it back in and turn it ON. From there you should be able reset the controls to your liking.

Hope this helped. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

What is the proper setting for Danby R410A?

R410A is refrigerant gas. I think you wanted to know, what humidity extraction level the controls should be set on. If it is really hot and humid in your area, set the humidity extraction level between 35 & 40%. If you have a mechanical control, turn the knob to Maximum.

Hope this helped you, Bradleyjo. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Recently purchased a Philco dehumidifier, model PD24GE. It turns on perfectly well but the humidity reading always says 20%, even if I put it outside where I know the humidity is at least 80%. Any...

Astro9boy, when I first read your post, I considered the problem was was just operator error. But, when I read the Owners Manual for your unit, I changed my mind. It seems there may be a problem with the control panel. But, attempting to reset it may solve the problem.

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 15 minutes.
After the time has elapsed, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch ON
Hopefully, during that 15 minute timeout, the unit reset itself & reverted back to the original factory settings. If so, you can set the controls where you desire.

In case you have misplaced your Owner's Manual, I have included a link to it that you can download and print for future reference. http://www.gilman-group.com/gilman_product_usermanuals/PD24GE_eng.pdf

If the above does not sole the problem, you will need to contact Philco, or the p;ace of purchase, as the unit is still under warranty.

I hope this helped you troubleshoot & solve the problem.

What is the proper setting for the Temp &Humidity?

Set the temp level at whatever point your home's temperature is now. Lower the humidity level to 35%. If you don't have an LED screen on your unit, set the manual control to maximum. This way, you will extract the maximum amount of humidity and make your home more comfortable.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Touch control for humidity setting only goes up, cannot lower setting, is touch pad defective and can it be replaced or not worth it anymore

Yes, the touch pad may defective. But, before you try to replace it, let's try something else first.

Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait 15 minutes and plug the unit back in. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and set the humidity extraction level where you want it. Hopefully, that 15 minute time out allowed the unit to reset itself and revert back to the original factory settings.

If it didn't you can order replacement parts directly from Haier 877-337-3639 or locate a service center near you.

Hope this helped to solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I set the humidity level and it immediately goes back to 90. Do I have to wait until the humidity level that I have set is reached and then it will show that number?

At 90, there's little chance the dehumidifier will remove any humidity. That setting is simply to high.
It may be that the unit needs to reset itself. You can accomplish this by turning the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplugging the unit for 15 minutes. Then, plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF switch to ON. Set the humidity extraction level on it's lowest setting. Hopefully, the unit reset itself and will now function as it should.

If that didn't solve the problem, the memory board may need to be replaced.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Hello Our LG HDL 65EL is not working properly. It turns on, the compressor sounds like it want to go, but the fan doesn't turn on. Is the fuse we can replace or a reset button we can switch? Or...

No, there is no fuse or circuit breaker to reset on your unit. However, there are several things r=than can cause the problem, you're experiencing:

The unit's humidity level may be set to high. Lower it to 35%

The air intake filter may be dirty or clogged. Remove the filter and clean it

The compressor coils may need cleaning.

The air ambient air temperature may be to low. Dehumidifiers don't function well between 40 & 60 degrees F.

The unit may need to reset itself. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 12-15 minutes. Plug it back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity level to 35%. Allow the unit to operate in Automatic Timed Mode, rather than continuous mode.

Make sure there is at least a minimum of 12" of clear air space around the entire unit, when in operation.

If none of the above solves the problem, the humidity sensor may have failed. In which case it should be replaced. Or the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant.

I hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem.
