Windows media player throws error when I play any audio

As you may have already notice, there isn't a problem with your driver.
However to gain a better understand the problem you rule out a couple of things. However, if the this problem is only present in windows media player. Then you should try another play i.e. VLC media player.

1. Go to you device manager and make sure the device is working properly. If not try uninstalling the device, restarted the computer letting windows discover the device again.

2. Next go to windows media player file (press "alt" key to get toolbar in newer version. Select options -> devices select your speaker -> properties and be sure that your audio device is available and selected.

3. Finally if all these options has failed, please use an alternative media like the one mention above (VLC media player).

I hope this have been a great help in your troubles. Please provide feedback on the solution.

Just bought technica mp3 4gb, music cds downloaded from computer but no sound any ideas please. sound is fine on radio music lists are all shown and seem to be responding but no sound also no method of...

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Hello my friend, i had encounter same problem as you have when i on one of my client's computer. You can reinstall the driver of your sound card. When you installed the program driver of your cam the sound card is affected due to some factor either the sound card is currupted. So my solution are the following: 1. Go to my computer icon then right click it the click properties. Then go to Tab name Hardware then click device manger then check if the sound driver is not installed or it is being corrupt. Then proceed to the reinstallation of your sound card driver. But if the sound card driver is installed then reinstall you windows media player. No audio file will play on WMP, no dvd or audio disk will play...

Windows Media Player cannot play several files in the playlist. This might be caused by one or more problems.
To find information about the specific problems, click the Now Playing tab, and then click the blue or red icon next to each file in the List pane.
In some cases, you might encounter this error message if there is a problem with your sound device, such as a sound card or sound controller. For example:
  • Your sound device requires an updated driver. To determine if an updated driver is available, see Windows Update or see the sound device manufacturer's Web site.
  • Your sound device is not functioning properly. To troubleshoot the problem, see Windows Help and Support or refer to your sound device's documentation.
  • You do not have a sound device installed on your computer. Install a sound device, and then try to play the file again

Syncing with Windows Media Player

Place the music files that you want to transfer into the My Music folder of your computer - Windows will re-read them, and then you can synchronize to your device. Also, make sure the hold/lock switch is not engaged on the mp3 player - it probably isn't, but just check.
