Why won't my nikon coolpix l810 turn on despite having new batteries?

It could be broken but it seems more likely that the batteries are faulty or not making proper contact or theres a fault with the power jack or battery wiring
Total failure with no attempt to come on is quite rare. I would try another set of different batteries and if that fails try an external power supply. If the external supply works then the problem could be that the external jack has lost the internal battery connection, or just plugging the external supply in and out might restore the connection.

Have a 1 tb buffalo external hd. worked great had it for back up. I unplugged it to move my computer. when I plugged it back in, there was no green light no power to the drive. check voltage and the power...

try to test it on other computer or laptop... if the unit are still exist maybe your problem would be the external drive..there are no switch button on it, because most of the switches are located on the adapter, the only testing you could do is to test it to other unit..If the external drive are ok once after you test from other PC's, then might as well check your USB port by plugging-in to other port...or try to use other power supply on your computer, co'z sometimes the supply can no longer supplied any voltage coming from your external drive once it plug-in..

New battery incorrect - power supply no longer

If indeed you have connected a 20V battery to a 16V system you may have damaged your system to the extent that it is unecomomical to repair.

There is a light flashing and i cant take a picture

In short, you can't. Not unless you change the photo pack as well, but it's no longer as simple as that.

You can no longer solve the problem with a new photo pack as they're all long out of date and out of production and so most remaining ones also have flat batteries. Those which aren't totally dead typically die completely after ejecting the protective cover sheet.

The only fix is to modify the camera to accept an external 6v power supply, but it's not that easy as the camera casing clips together and was never designed to come apart and so often the casing breaks during the modification attempt. But given that most charity/thrift shops either have a back room full of unsold (unsellable) Polaroid cameras and that they're easily obtained via FreeCycle and Freegle it's not really an issue if it takes five or six attempts to end up with one modified camera.

The supplies of photo packs are a different issue though: they're very expensive (and always were, but are now ridiculously so), no longer usually work work (except as detailed above) and are increasingly difficult to obtain as supplies continue to dry up. In practical terms, it's simply no longer worth it as the Polaroid 600 Instant Photo system is a dead photographic format.

My ups beep continuosly and then shuts off.

Classic signs of a worn out battery. Battery International has a great cross reference to find your battery:

Normally, this is an overheating power down. Don't know how old your machine is, but it could have a failing CPU fan. The machine monitors heat on the CPU and shuts it down automatically if it gets too hot. Sometimes the sensor is misreading things, but either you need to return it if it is under warranty or you need to have someone take a look at it who can dismantle the machine.

A/c adaptor no longer working and that model no longer stocked by supplier

Note down the power supply wattate and voltage from the
power supply pack. remove the power supply unit from the
main supply.. see if any breakage in the line . test this if u have
multimeter. If u feel that the wires and cables are ok.
the pin which gets inserted into the external hard disk may be
broken. it can be verified by just shaking smoothly on all directions. rest solution after seeing your reply

External hard drive

I just worked through this same issue with LaCie tech support and they fixed it- it was a bad power supply. Fortunately I had another LaCie drive and when I plugged the power supply from that one in to the "misbehaving" drive, everything booted up fine.
