By connecting external display through hdmi port from my laptop, can i play demanding games!if yes then give some examples! specs....... compaq presario cq60 209TU, it has Intel(R) Graphic Media...

You wont be able to play a "demanding" game on any integrated graphics chip. While you may be able to start the game and load into it, it will be unplayable, or a painful experience at low resolution at best. I play World of warcraft, which isnt very taxing on a system, unless you put settings on ultra and high shadows. I can play it on my laptop with the same chipset that you have, but i am forced to play at the lowest resolution, and turn all settings to off/lowest, and it still only gives me 20ish frames per second. Ideally you would want to never dip below 30 to be playable As far as the HDMI port, that is just how the video signal is being sent after leaving the video card/chip. Even with the HDMI, your lack of dedicated graphics will be your limiting factor, and will not get any better by sending it through HDMI.

I have compaq presario cq60 209TU notebook pc, do this model have pci slot for graphic card installation?, it presently has intel(R) Graphic Media Accelarator Driver for mobile, BIOS- Intel video bios,...

Hi youblazer,

That notebook does not have the capablity of swapping out the graphics chip set. I would recommend going HERE and make sure that you have the correct driver for your machine. There is an option that will allow HP to determine the correct driver for that card.

Aside from all that, there is a new option just coming out called "an external graphics adapter" Asus and Fujitsu are the only one I know of so far that have one, and it's quite pricey but, hey all new equipment is, and then it comes down in price.

Lastly you know you have an hdmi connector that if you wanted you can move the graphics from the laptop to your HD TV set for High Definition Gaming.

That's about all the options I can think of.

Good Luck!

Don't forget to leave a rating.

Thanks

Still lagging in WoW!

Answered originally by TimIsHectic:

Assuming you mean a bad framerate and not actual 'lag', the problem would appear to exist in your processor, as it is old and outdated. and only just fits the minimum requirements to RUN THE GAME, not run the game well.

Answer: You should upgrade your CPU to a Pentium Dual-core at least.

WoW System Requirements

Processor:
Minimum: Intel Pentium 4 1.3 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500+
Recommended: Dual-core processor, such as the Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2
Memory: Minimum: 512 MB RAM (1GB for Vista users)
Recommended: 1 GB RAM (2 GB for Vista users) Video: Minimum: 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 32 MB VRAM Such as an ATI Radeon 7200 or NVIDIA GeForce 2 class card or better
Recommended: 3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability with 128 MB VRAM Such as an ATI Radeon X1600 or NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT class card or better
