Error 8 is an indication that the brewgroup needs servicing. We managed to get it temporarily fixed by using some antistick spay (Pam) that we aplied from the bottom after removing the tray assembly. The machine can be tricked about the tray not being present by using a small stick to latch the microswitch on the right side about midway where the tray slides in. Once this is done, you can turn the machine on and off, which will get the brewgroup moving while you spray it.

if everyting is frozen and you cannot do anything with your computer, you can wait a couple minutes to see if it is only working on something in the background that is taking up all its resources... if it does not start responding by itself, and you do not want to wait anymore... push the PC's start button that you use to turn your computer on (not the windows start button) for 8 seconds and it should turn off. NOTE: any changes to data that was open and and not saved will be lost.
Remove the battery, press and hold the power button, or turn the power switch to ON position(depends on the option available in your Camera) for more than 30 Seconds and then reinsert the battery to resolve the issue.
Hello, welcome to FixYa.
I understand you have a Maytag dishwasher based on your post, correct ? If so could you post a reply with the model number of this machine and I'll see what I can find for you. There were some recalls on Maytag units a while back, but I don't want to speculate...it's better to wait for the model number, in fact a serial number as well would be even more beneficial.
I look forward to your reply and assisting you going forward. I hope you can appreciate there are many scenarios even within the "Maytag" brand. Thank you. Regards, Macmarkus :)
Turn the phone off. Remove the battery. Wait 30 seconds or more ... Put the battery back in. Turn it back on. If it works - GREAT. If it doesn't work, call Metro PSC back and tell them you did what they said to do and it still doesn't work.
If the phone is already off or will not turn off ... remove the battery ... wait 30 seconds or more ... put the battery back in ... turn on the phone. See above for further details.
Turn it on and let it run for about 30 seconds. If it still doesn't work... unplug it, wait 15 minutes, plug it back in, then try again. If that doesn't work, you might want to contact Samsung to see if it needs repaired or replaced.
Hold the Vol+ Vol- buttons down and turn on the power switch in the back of the unit. The screen should turn blue and some square in the middle of it. The noisy square is actually the bios being reset. Once the unit turns itself off, you can turn it back as usual. Note: Some of these units require a 3 button reset. In that case hold Vol+ Vol- and Menu at the same time while you turn the power switch on in the back of the set. I hope it was helpful.
