RSS MY 3 year old messed with my phone now has RSS on little icon on top of screen! What is it and how do I turn it off? Please help!

Many cell phones on the market today enable the user to access the Internet. Instead of using any old Internet browser, upload Opera Mini to your phone and be able to surf the way you want. With Opera Mini you can subscribe to your favorite RSS feeds, take advantage of handy photo sharing capabilities and much more.

1. Open the Opera Mini software on your mobile phone. You have the option of typing in an Internet address, utilizing the Yahoo! search box or using another search engine.
2. Navigate through a Web page by using the left and right keys of your cell phone or flip to the previous or next page with the up and down keys.
3. Bookmark your favorite Web sites with Opera Mini. Simply click 'Bookmarks' from the main page, then 'Manage' and finally 'Add.' The next screen will enable you to input the title and address of the Web site.
4. Use the Opera Mini software to subscribe to RSS feeds. A RSS feed icon pops up at the top of a Web site with a feed--all you have to do is click on the icon to subscribe to the feed.
5. Take pictures and send them to your blog or a forum using the Opera Mini photo sharing feature. Know that only some mobile phones support the Opera Mini photo sharing function.

Go to Messages-RSS-and under Settings uncheck or change Update to Manually.

IT is the sign for rss reader, it is live feeds from news and adverts, you can switch this off from the messages menu at the settings.

That symbol show up when the RSS feeds in the phone's RSS reader have been updated.

Remove it instead of adding it.

How to add RSS channel to the RSS reader (K610/K790/K800/W830/W850/Z550 series)
In order to add an RSS channel to the RSS reader do as follows: 1. Go to [MESSAGING], press "Select"
2. Scroll to [RSS READER], press "Select"
3. PRESS [ADD]
4. Enter the RSS address
5. Press [GO TO]
6. The phone will automaticaly connect with the selected page, and the RSS address will be added.

Your phone has a built-in RSS-reader, its trying to tell you something about a new feed or something. You can find it under Messages.

It sounds a bit like an infra red icon but I don't really know. Go to connectivity and infra red and turn infra red off. Hope this helps
